ZAPP® Communication Policy and Information

Technical Upgrades to Include Opt-In Communications
The My ZAPPlications page of the ZAPP® system includes an "opt-in" communications feature. You may check one or many of the following types of communications to receive:

  • ZAPP® Event Notification via E-mail
    This type of communication includes announcements of new shows and events on ZAPP®. An e-mail communication will be sent from ZAPP® management. Events listed in this e-mail will hyperlink to the ZAPP® Web site so that you can access the event information and application immediately. The ZAPP® event-notification e-mail will be sent weekly.
  • Event-Application-Deadline Announcement via E-mail
    This type of communication includes announcements of application deadlines. This e-mail communication will be sent from ZAPP® management weekly and will announce the deadlines for applications due within 10 days. You will only receive an application-deadline e-mail if you have not yet started the show's application, or you have started the application but have not yet submitted it. You will not receive an e-mail if the application deadlines do not apply to you. Applications listed in this e-mail will hyperlink to the ZAPP® Web site so that you can access the event information and application immediately.
  • Event-Specific-Deadline Announcement via E-mail
    A participating ZAPP® art show may wish to send you a personal e-mail reminding you of an application deadline. You will only receive an application-deadline e-mail from an art show if you have not yet started the show's application, or you have started the application but not yet submitted it. You will not receive an e-mail if the application deadlines do not apply to you. Applications listed in this e-mail will hyperlink to the ZAPP® Web site so that you can access the event information and application immediately.
  • Event-Specific Postcard Mailing
    New art shows participating on ZAPP® may wish to send you a postcard about their show and application information.
  • ZAPP®-Specific Information and Announcement via E-mail
    ZAPP® management may send you an e-mail to announce or inform you about ZAPP®-related issues such as ZAPP® technical enhancements and new features, instructions on how best to use the system, and opportunities for artists using ZAPP®. These e-mails will be infrequent.

How to Opt In and Opt Out
When you log in to your account on ZAPP®, go to the MyZAPPlications page. Beneath the table of applications you are managing is a table specific to ZAPP® communications. The table lists each type of communication with a check box. Check the boxes for the communications you want to receive. If you do not want to receive any communications from ZAPP® management or participating ZAPP® art shows, select the last communication type, "None." If a check box is not marked for a communication type, you will not receive that information.

Protection and Security
Your contact information will never be sold or distributed to ZAPP® participating art shows or any third-party vendor. All communications are managed by the ZAPP® management team.

The ZAPP® and participating art show e-mail communication types listed above are in addition and separate from communications you will receive from show directors regarding your application for each show.
