Barefoot in the Park Juried Fine Arts Festival 2012 Agreement

All artists' work and their presentation is evaluated before acceptance to this event. Applications will be reviewed anonymously by a panel of judges. All work you plan to exhibit should be represented in your images with descriptions that will be ready for the jury process. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be emailed thru Zapplication in mid March. A waiting list based on the next highest scores in each medium will be created and you will be notified again thru Zapplication if you are on the waiting list. You will be asked to remove any work not consistent with your images. No commercially-produced molds, patterns, or castings. No dried flower arrangements. No manufactured belts, buckles, handbags, etc. No ready-made clothing, even if "enhanced" through various media (such as tie-die, painting, or applique, etc). No rain date. Cancellations - No Refunds of Booth Fees received after April 15th, 2013. Artists are responsible for collection of 6% Georgia Sales Tax and reporting all sales tax collected. The show is in Gwinnett County. Artists must be present to display work. No commercial agents, dealers or salespeople are allowed to tend artwork. Photo ID of artist is required upon arrival. We provide golf carts and drivers to take you to and from your car during the festival whenever you need it. Come to registration for pickup/drop-off. We provide booth sitters for your convenience. Come to the registration tent or ask a committee member when you are ready. The Artist Hospitality Suite is located on the second floor of the Festival Center. At checkin you and your guest will receive wristbands to gain entrance. Each artist and one guest will receive complimentary breakfast and lunch with snacks throughout the day Saturday and Sunday. Each artist are responsible for their own display booth. Booth fees for a tent is $200 and a double booth is $400. All tents must be 10'X10' canopy tents; no stake down, at least 25 lbs weights on each leg. Security will be provided from 7pm Friday night untill 7pm Sunday night. Please be prepared for inclement weather. Camper/RV day parking is available on-site; limited off-site overnight RV parking is available. If you will need overnight accomodations, you can go to www.GCVB.org to find many hotel/motel options to choose from. Last year's award winners need not send images or jury fees, only their application and booth fee; they are automatically accepted for the this year's show. Space is limited so apply early. Artist's donations of artwork for the Friday night Gala silent auction will help support the Barefoot, Inc. is a 501C3 non profit organization and all proceeds from our event go into our Arts Education Fund. Monies raised are granted back to non-profit arts and cutural organizations as scholarships for students wanting to further their artistic futures within our community. Every year we get about 100% participation from our Artists. This donation is greatly appreciated.



Art Release: I hereby release and forever discharge Barefoot In The Park Festival, the City of Duluth, sponsoring organizations, and their directors, officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss or damage arising out of or in conjuction with my participation in Barefoot In The Park Festival. Additionally, Barefoot In The Park Festival is not responsible for any injury sustained by exhibitors or guests while within space that may be assigned to me. By signing this application form, I acknowledge having received and read the Barefoot In The Park Festival, Artists Market prospectus, and agree to abide by all rules set forth herein and on this application, as well as the laws of Gwinnett County and the State of Georgia. I agree that slides/images submitted for jurying are representative of work to be exhibited and that the Festival reserves the right, in its sole descretion, to advise me of any work that does not meet the standards set forth, and I agree that such work will be immediately removed upon request by the officials. Failure to remove such work or to abide by other rules set forth may result in my removal from the Festival without refund of fees, and/or my being prohibited from future participation.



In an effort to be fair to our artist and forthright with the customers of our festival, we ask your cooperation in the following policies: All original artwork displayed must be produced by the exhibiting artist and must be consistent with the images submitted with your application. Any artwork, including photographs that are produced by any mechanical means i.e. giclees, photo-offset, or any other reproduction technique must be labeled a "reproduction" and placed in browse bins. framed reproductions must be less than 50% of works hanging in your booth. By following this policy all artists will be able to offer a variety of artwork at various price points and the buying public will be better informed. This show will be monitored for compliance to the policy.



The set-up and breakdown procedure will be emailed to you once selected for the show.



Vendor Damage Clause: Vendor agrees to accept all responsibility for all costs associated with any and all damage caused by the transportation, preparation, construction, operation and removal of any and all aspects of Vendor's equipment utilized at the Barefoot In The Park Festival. Such acceptance shall include, but not limited to, damage by vendor's employees, agents or contractors to any third party damages to property or persons, including but not limited to sidewalks, trees, roadways, irrigation systems, water systems, sewer systems, light poles, bridges, grass, electrical power sources and delivery systems which may be owned or operated by the City of Duluth. Vendor further indemnifies and agrees to hold harmless the Barefoot In The Park Festival, from any of the aforementioned damages which under the direct supervision, or at the construction, operation, and removal of the Vendor's equipment.



To thank you for your participation, we will be honoring you at our Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony Saturday, May 5th, 2011 after the show closes at 6:30pm. Enjoy food and drink, live entertainment and Award prizes will be given. Festival dates and times are Friday night May 4th from 5pm-8pm, Saturday, May 5th, 10am-6pm and Sunday, May 6th, 10 - 5pm.
