Transit Depot Fine Art Festival in Monterey 2017 Agreement
I have read and agree to all of the specified terms and conditions set forth in the Transit Depot Fine Art & Craft Festival in Monterey. Your application signifies that, upon acceptance to a CWB Events show, the applying artist is 18 years of age or older, agrees to be present during all show hours, and will abide by all festival rules, regulations, procedures and guidelines. NO subletting or sharing of space is permitted. No representatives are allowed. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT SHOWS.
Upon acceptance, I agree further to release and indemnify CWB Events, the City of Monterey and all of its duly appointed representatives of liability and responsibility for any damage, injury, or loss sustained by exhibitors, guests or other participants before, during, and after the Festival or as a result of the display of my work, equipment, or materials. The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the following – CWB Events, the City of Monterey, its clients and affiliated organizations or entities, directors, officers, agents, employees, or any of the above from any and all liabilities, demands, claims, damages, or costs to property or persons as a result of participating in any CWB Event.
I understand that CWB Events management reserves the right to remove anything that does not meet the standards set forth in this application. I agree to accept all decisions of the CWB Events management.
I agree to allow CWB Events management the use of submitted images, photos, and other promotional materials, including photographs and videotapes taken at each event for the purposes of promotion of the show this year and future years. Please send a biography of you and your work, which may be used for publicity opportunities.
All applications require 4 photos of your work plus 1 photo or slide of your outdoor display. We will not process your application without a photo of your outdoor display with the white 10x10 tent included in the image. All categories shall be reviewed, juried and screened prior to your acceptance. Any media NOT approved during the application process that appears in your booth at an event will be removed. All work must be original, handcrafted, created and exhibited by the approved artist themselves. Kits, imports, and mass produced items will not be tolerated. This rule is strictly enforced.
Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing. All tents MUST be white. Handwritten signs and sale signs are strictly prohibited. Please visit our website, cwbevents.com to view our display requirements and tips. Your goal is to make your tent look like a small art gallery. Exhibitors are responsible for making their tents secure and sturdy against wind, rain etc. Tents MUST be manufactured of flame –retardant materials. CWB Events is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property
Set-Up and Breakdown
Set-Up and Breakdown times will be listed on show confirmation. Exhibitors will leave their exhibit space clean after packing up at break down. If your space is not clean after an event this could result in expulsion from future events.
Vendors must have a valid California Sellers Permit. Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting any and all sales tax.
Upon Acceptance into event, there are no refunds. If cancellation is necessary, a credit towards a future event is available if cancelled more than 2 weeks before start of event. If cancelled less than 14 days before start of event there is no credit or refund available.
There is a 10% commission due on all sales made at and/or generated from this event. Commission is payable at the close of the show on Sunday at 5:00 pm. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards. Sales are made individually by each artist. Do not include the sales tax when figuring the commission amount.
