Maitland Rotary Art Festival 2017 presents "Art Under the Stars" 41st Annual Agreement

I do hereby release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Maitland Rotary Art Festival, Inc. and the Rotary Club of Maitland (Sponsor) from any and all manner of actions, suits, damages, or claims whatsoever arising out of my participation in the show, including without limitation, any loss of or damage to any property including any and all attorney’s fees and costs incurred as a result thereof. I understand terms of this early application are subject to change.

 

Upon submission of application, entrant agrees to the following:

 

1. Applicants may enter more than one category. Each category must have an application and fee. A minimum of four pieces of art must be displayed in each category. A limited number of fine art prints may be sold if clearly marked and numbered as original prints. No mass produced items may be sold at the show.

2. In submitting an application to enter the Festival, the applicant agrees to display only their own work in the assigned space and throughout the dates and hours published.

3. Entrants shall display work only of the same category, type and physical characteristics as that submitted with the application for jurying. Sponsor shall have the absolute right and discretion to determine whether or not work on display is sufficiently similar to images submitted and applicant shall be bound thereby.

4. An exhibit space of approximately 12’x 10’ will be assigned to each entrant. Displays shall face the direction designated. A sign will be supplied by the Sponsor to be posted on the display. No other cards, signs, ribbons or publicity shall be displayed before judging.

5. The Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the display of any works which it determines at its sole discretion to be inconsistent with the purpose intended by Sponsor. Further, work which in the exclusive opinion of Sponsor may be found to be offensive to the general public, such as suggestive or explicit sex or nudism, will not be allowed. Anyone displaying such work may be asked to leave and the entry fee will be forfeited.

6. Displays shall be set up and vehicles removed from the display area not later than 5:30 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017, and 9:30AM on Saturday, November 11, 2017, and 9:30AM on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

7. Pets will not be permitted in the display area.

8. Generators are not allowed.

9. The collection and remittance of the Florida State Sales Tax is the responsibility of each artist.

10. Artists agree to remain on site during hours of show.

11. Both the $35.00 application and jury fee and the $325.00 weekend booth fee are non-refundable. Any hardship requests for the refund of a booth fee shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.



Failure of an applicant to abide by these rules may result in the applicant being removed from the festival. In such event, there will be no refund of the application fees.
