Metuchen Art & Music Festival - METFEST 2018 Agreement BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM, YOU AGREE TO OR ACKNOWLEDGE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:   ☐  1.  I agree to hold harmless the Metuchen Arts Council, Borough of Metuchen, Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce, its members and all other businesses involved in the METFEST from claims of or liability to third parties, or for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of the display of artwork and my participation in the METFEST.  Insurance coverage for exhibited artwork is my responsibility alone.   ☐  2.  I agree that I will not exhibit or display work that depicts or includes explicit sexual acts or themes, nude human figures, or depicts violence or vulgarity including vulgar language.  The METFEST is a family event, and I agree that the ultimate decision about whether a particular piece is acceptable for display at this family event resides with the Metuchen Arts Council, the Borough of Metuchen, and the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce.  I acknowledge that the Chamber reserves the right to ask an artist to remove items or leave if we determine the work violates this restriction.   ☐  3.  I understand that selected artists and crafters who are accepted to exhibit will be assigned a space on either Main Street or New Street.  Exhibitors must provide their own tables and tents, and must be present at their assigned space during the event.  Entranceways to businesses or residences and all doors must be kept accessible.  Sidewalks are public thoroughfares that must remain accessible at all times.  Determination regarding postponing until the rain date will be made on Friday, June 8, 2018 and announced on the METFEST web site, Facebook, other social media, and on the Chamber of Commerce Voicemail at the number on this application.   ☐  4.  I understand that sidewalk exhibiting artists and crafters may exhibit on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the number of spaces indicated on their application at the location assigned by the METFEST Committee in front of participating Metuchen stores and businesses from Noon until 8:00 pm.   ☐  5.  I understand that all exhibited artwork must be original artwork, conceived and executed solely by me.  I understand that any artist who exhibits work substantially different from the representative samples submitted will be asked to leave.
