Wearable Art Market 2018 Agreement

The TAA Wearable Art Market committee thanks you for your interest in our market. By applying to participate, you certify your agreement to adhere to all policies and rules established by the market committee.

 

You understand that if your application is not accepted your Application Fee will not be refunded. If you receive and accept an invitation to participate, the committee has your permission to reproduce the photographs you submitted for the purpose of advertising and marketing the market. The committee also has your permission to publish photographs or videos taken during the market of your booth, your work and your person for purposes related to promotion of TAA markets, past or future.

 

To participate in our market, you must agree to observe the following. Failure to comply could result in your expulsion from the market.

  • All work is original and handcrafted.

  • Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing.

  • You must leave your exhibit space clean after packing up at break-down.

  • There are no refunds for cancelled booths within 60 days of the event date. All cancellations must be in writing (email preferred).

  • You, the approved exhibitor, will occupy your booth except for reasonable breaks.

  • No subletting or sharing of space is permitted except for the TAA members’ table, where individual participants’ exhibited stock must not exceed 2’ x 2’ of table space.

  • You are responsible for collecting and reporting appropriate sales taxes.

  • A $25 bank fee will be charged on all returned checks. The check amount plus the $25 fee is payable with a money order, cashier’s check or cash.

  • Your space shall be occupied by 9:30 a.m. the morning of the market or you will be considered a “no-show” and your space may be given away with no refund or credit.

  • Neither you nor your representatives will engage in any type of solicitation of any products, supplies, shows, etc. during the market except for the wearable art for which you were invited to participate in the market.

  • Set-up and breakdown times will be strictly enforced.

  • The committee reserves the right to make final interpretations of all rules and regulations.




There will be no refunds or credits if the market is cancelled due to floods, tornadoes, or any other forces of nature. Exhibitors are responsible for full payment of show fee if participation is cancelled less than 60 days prior to event. The committee reserves the right to disqualify any exhibitor causing any problems to fellow exhibitors or the committee. The committee reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules.



By accepting the invitation to participate in the Wearable Art Market, you hereby discharge, release and hold harmless The Textile Art Alliance and the Cleveland Museum of Art from any and all actions, suits, damages, or claims whatsoever arising from any loss or damages or claims, to persons or property in connection with the market, and consent to enforcement of all rules of the market.
