"Arts in August" Art Fair and Plein Air 2019 Agreement

DISPLAYED WORK

If an artist's work on display is not consistent with the work shown in the application, the artist will be asked to eliminate the items from the booth, or may be asked to leave the Art Fair. No refund of fees will be given. All work must be designed by the accepted artist. Work done by a production studio is not allowed. No work is allowed that has been prepared with commercial patterns, molds, kits, etc.

WEATHER

This is a rain or shine event. Booths should be prepared for all kinds of weather. Tents must also be properly weighted down in case of wind or rain. Barring extreme weather conditions or an unforeseen emergency, an artist who doesn’t show up for the Art Fair or who leaves before the official end of the Art Fair will not be eligible for future “Arts in August” events.

BOOTH SIGNS

Booth signs must be displayed on the outside of the booth by 3pm on Friday afternoon and remain in place for the entire art fair.

TENT SIZE

Artists may not use tents that are larger than 10’X10’ unless a double booth has been requested and paid for.

PAYMENT OF FEES

If a booth fee is not received by the deadline, artists from a waiting list will be invited to fill the spot.

SELLER'S PERMIT

LMA is required by the state of Wisconsin to supply it with artists’ Wisconsin seller's permit numbers. If you are accepted into the Art Fair, you must obtain a permit. Apply directly with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue at its website, https://www.revenue.wi.gov/Pages/FAQS/pcs-seller.aspx. You must provide LMA with your WI tax information prior to Thursday, August 1st. Failure to do so will disqualify you from the art fair and no refund of your fees will be given.
