ArtFest MidWest ‘The Other
Art Show’ (Iowa’s largest fine art show) invites you
to submit an application. This juried show, in its tenth anniversary year,
is promoted by Stookey Companies and consists primarily of
mid-western artists. This event offers an affordable, alternative to
the outdoor downtown Des Moines art show. Other attractive features
are free admission, free parking, free shuttle to and from the
downtown show, and an expanded “Artist Demonstration Area” in
front of the building. The Iowa State Fairgrounds are located
approximately 10 minutes east of downtown Des Moines. The Varied
Industries Building is a newly renovated air-conditioned building
just inside the Fairgrounds main gate. Food will be available.
Loading and unloading is easy and convenient, as all access is flat.
The show will be extensively
promoted using various media.
Stookey Companies is a family-owned,
Iowa-based business that has specialized in organizing Fine Art,
Craft and Antique shows for over 17 years.
