General Information
The Denver Pavilions would like to invite you to apply for ArtStir Denver 2013. ArtStir Denver 2013 is a creative art market exclusively showcasing Colorado Creatives designed to stir up the artist in all of us with a spirited blend of Colorado art, music and style. Featured works include paintings, sculpture, photography, illustration, textiles, furnishings, mixed media and more. ArtStir Denver 2013 will be held at the Denver Pavilions in Downtown Denver, along Glenarm Place between 15th and 17th streets, and adjacent surface parking lots over the Memorial Day weekend.

Important Dates:
May 10, 2013- Application deadline. There is no application fee for ArtStir!
May 10, 2013- Deadline for accepted Artists to commit to exhibit, return a signed Exhibitor Contract and remit the booth fee.
Failure to communicate with Show Director by this date will result in the forfeiture of the invitation.
Cancellation: In the event that you have to cancel, full refunds less $75 will be granted through April 26th, 2013. After April 26th, NO refunds will be issued.

Show Schedule:
Friday, May 24, 2013: 4 pm – 8 pm
Saturday, May 25, 2013: 11 am – 8 pm
Sunday, May 26, 2013: 11 am – 6 pm
Monday, May 27, 2013: 11 am – 6 pm

Booths/Artist’s Attendance:
Booth spaces are approximately 10' wide by 10' deep. Double booths are also available on a limited basis. Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing.

All Artists’ exhibitor tents must be white in color. If you do not have your own tent please contact us. Colorado Party Rentals is the preferred vendor for ArtStir Denver 2013 and will be the only rental vendor allowed on-site.

All Artists must occupy their respective booths for the duration of the event.

Artists display all works at their own risk. ArtStir Denver 2013 is not responsible for damage, theft or loss of an Artist’s property, or personal injury resulting from participation in ArtStir Denver 2013. Assistance from festival staff will not be available for booth set-up or breakdown.

Booth Fees:
Single Booth (10' x 10') - $460
Double Booth (10' x 20') - $920

Sales:
Artists retain all revenue from the sale of their work with no commission on sales due to ArtStir Denver 2013. Artists are solely responsible for collection and declaration of Colorado sales tax.

Mediums Welcome: ceramics, digital art, drawing & graphic arts, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, wearable art and furniture.

Rules for Participation:
ArtStir Denver 2013 welcomes all artists in any fine art or fine craft medium, exhibiting his or her own handmade work of art.

1. Artist must reside in Colorado.

2. Artwork must be original in concept, design, and execution.

3. Artists may only show work in categories and body of work selected by the rolling jury. All work exhibited must be of the quality, category and body of work of that shown in the images juried.

4. ArtStir Denver 2013 discourages commercial and mass produced items.  All products will be reviewed at time of application. 

5. Reproductions are allowed, but the Artist must adhere to the 80% original and 20% reproduction on-site rule and all reproduction work must clearly state that it is so.

6. Booths can be shared but there will only be one name listed on the marketing material for the booth. No more than two Artists may share a booth. Both Artists must sign the application and Exhibitor Contract and be present at the market.

7. All exhibiting Artists must provide their own booths & display materials. Booths must be white and 10 feet x 10 feet. Booths must be properly weighted. If you do not have your own tent please contact us for rental options. Colorado Party Rentals is the preferred vendor for ArtStir Denver 2013 and will be the only rental vendor allowed on-site.

8. Artists are encouraged to prominently display an Artist Statement in their booth during the fair, with the Artist’s picture, describing how and by whom the work is made and the materials used to make the work. Educational information and demonstrations are encouraged but not required.

9. All work must be for sale.

10. The Artist whose work has been accepted MUST BE present for the duration of the show to meet our patrons. If collaborating with a partner, both need to be listed on this Application, and both must be in attendance. Picture identification will be required.
