Please join us for the Naperville Woman's Club 58th Juried Fine Art Fair.
Established 1959, the Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair is one of the longest running Art Fairs in Illinois.
Located 28 miles west of Chicago, Naperville is home to approximately 145,000 people.
The NWC Fine Art Fair takes place on the grounds of Naper Settlement, a park-like setting with paved pathways, mature trees, and historic buildings. Naper Settlement is a renown outdoor history museum and provides the perfect back drop for the Art Fair!
The Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair is The Naperville Woman's Club largest fund raiser to support civic organizations and projects, and is their and signature event. It is a highly publicized, well-attended event of long standing.
The Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair has maintained a strong reputation in town and amongst artists as being well organized, having high caliber artists and being very artist friendly!

The Naperville Woman's Club is proud to announce the Naperville Woman's Club 58th Juried Fine Art Fair.

Naper Settlement (Naperville, IL) June 24th & 25th, 2017, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Art Fair is located in the heart of downtown Naperville at Naper Settlement, a lush park-like setting with mature trees, historic buildings and  paved path ways. It is one block from the bustling downtown shopping and restaurant district and features approximately 120 artists exhibiting, selling and demonstrating their original works.

The Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair is the Club's largest fund raiser and signature event. Proceeds from the Art Fair are donated back to local charities throughout the year. Each year the Club also supports young artists by providing art scholarships to students.

The Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair enjoys a rich history in the town, is well attended,  and attracts patrons from surrounding suburbs, and the Chicagoland vicinity.

The Art Fair is highly publicized with advertising in local news publications, magazines, and on social media. Publicity Includes: signage posted throughout the City, the Park District's community event sign, postcards, posters in local businesses, radio announcements, and promotional listings on various internet websites and social media sites.

Part of the event is the 'Empty Bowls' project, to help fight hunger in the Naperville area community. Ceramic bowls are donated by ClaySpace of Lisle, IL with proceeds from Empty Bowls benefiting local food pantries.

The Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair offers a Silent Auction as well to raise monies for the Club's charity work. Artists are encouraged to donate a piece of their art work.

Live Entertainment occurs throughout the weekend, and a special children's tent, 'Petite Picasso'  is offered to provide kids with an outlet to explore their artistic abilities.

Admission to Naper Settlement is free during the two-day Art Fair weekend. Free admission atrtacts even more people to the Art Fair.

Food and beverages are available on the grounds and nearby top-rated restaurants are within walking distance.

The Naper Settlement is a fully fenced in park. Artist booths are patrolled by hired Security and the City of Naperville Police, however, Artists are responsible for the safety and security of their work and property.
Please review the liability waiver. No dogs are allowed in the park except service dogs.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND JURY FEES

To enter, complete the application process online at Zapplication.org and submit a non-refundable payment of $30 by March 1, 2017
Late applications are considered on a case by case basis; a $45 jury fee will apply.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made in writing or via email to the NWC Art Fair Director by May 30, 2017 to receive your booth fee refund minus a $30 processing fee.
Cancellations after May 30th are not eligible for refund, no exceptions.


JURY PROCESS

Please submit 5 images: 4 of your original work and 1 of your booth. Please pay attention to the photo of your Booth. It is one of  the deciding factors, and may greatly influence the decision. The decision of the jury is based solely on the submitted images and is final. Images submitted must be consistent with the work exhibited at the show. The Booth photo should be void of persons/artists.

ALL ART WORK MUST BE CREATED BY THE ARTIST AND BE OF ORIGINAL DESIGN. ABSOLUTELY NO BUY AND SELL ARTISTS ARE ALLOWED AT THE NAPERVILLE WOMAN'S CLUB ART FAIR.

Our jurors are a diverse group of experienced artists and art professionals. They are selected for their art education and background, exposure to and experience with various art mediums, knowledge and history of Art Festivals, and appreciation for the arts. Jury members vary each year.
Artists are scored numerically on a 5 point scale in each category, and then then ranked numerically in their category based on jury scores.

The Art Show Director may be involved in artist selection after the jury process due to any unforeseen circumstances

A brief artist statement may be included with your application.

Notification of acceptance, denial or wait list will be sent on or before by March 30, 2017

Rules/Regulations
ELIGIBILITY
Participation is open to artists creating original art in the following categories:
Painting (acrylic, oil, watercolors), mixed media, drawing, pastels, sculpture, fiber art (various textiles & leather), photography, jewelry, glass, ceramics, wood, metal sculpture, print making, digital art. High quality 2D reproduction must be signed and numbered and be limited editions. Prints must be of original art work, produced by the artist and clearly labeled as a reproduction. No kits or pre-fabricated kits or settings for  jewelry allowed. Glass work must also be of original design.

Additional category includes a Glass-subcategory, jewelry and upscaled or repurposed art, combining original items with recycled, antique or historic pieces. An example of this would be a fiber artist that employes vintage fabrics into one of their original designs, or a jewelry artist that uses antique elements in their original design.

If you are exhibiting as a Glass Artist, jewelry cannot represent more than 15% of your booth space. Please indicate both categories when applying.
The Artist must be present for the duration of the show. If Artwork is done as a team, or collaboration, one member may represent the team.
No Artist Representatives or 'Buy and Sell' Artists are allowed!
 
Naperville Woman's Club reserves the right to request removal of any items you have not been approved to sell, if we suspect they are not of original design,  or if items are not consistent with those you juried in with.

Photography and Digital Art prints must be signed and numbered.

Artists using propane tanks for demonstrations must furnish an additional insurance certificate, contact Art Fair Director for wording of additional insureds.

No dogs are allowed on Naper Settlement Grounds other than service dogs.

Booth Information
DISPLAY SPACES/ARTIST AMENITIES

Booth Fees are $300 for the weekend.

Booth sizes are generous (10x12) with storage in the rear. Booths are on grass, and there is ample room for easy load in and load out. Tents, tables, and your own display are required. All tents must be weighted down with either stakes or alternate means. There is no electricity for the booths, portable battery operated fans are recommended. There is both sun and shade in the park.

Storage behind booths is allowed if kept neat and to a minimum.

Convenient free parking for Artists directly North and South of the show at either the City Municipal Center or South Porter lot. No vehicles are allowed to remain on the property during the show.
There are over 100 Booth Spaces available. There are limits on the number of artists in each display category.

No dogs are allowed on the grounds of Naper Settlement unless they are Service dogs,

Artists Reception and Award Presentation
