The Anton Art Center is revamping the 35-year-old Mount Clemens Art Fair to better serve a modern Macomb County. In addition to a new name, the Anton Art Center is partnering with the Mount Clemens Downtown Development Authority, Macomb County’s OneMacomb and Make Macomb Your Home initiatives and adding Friday to the weekend to capture attendance from County employees who work within walking distance of the art fair and expand the marketing reach to a broad audience. We are actively seeking additional partners and sponsors as well as new artists in a variety of media to exhibit.



General Information
​Artists working in and exhibiting all media are invited including ceramics, painting, photography, jewelry, metalwork, and mixed media. Artists may apply in multiple categories.  You must send images for EACH media you intend to display.

AWARDS
Cash prizes will be awarded, totaling $1,000.
 
JURY INFORMATION
Artists will be selected by a panel of jurors that have been chosen on the basis of in-depth expertise in a specific media and experience in working with a broad spectrum of the arts. The jurors reserve the right to decline any application for any reason.

Rules/Regulations
Artists may exhibit their work only in the categories in which they are accepted. Only work represented by images submitted can be exhibited. The fair organizers reserve the right to refuse exhibition of work that is not consistent with the artist’s submitted images.
 
Artists must oversee their exhibits at all times and display their work for the duration of the show. Assistants, friends, and/or family members are welcome, but NOT in place of the artist. Any artist departing prior to the end of the show is unable to exhibit for two years.
 
This is an outdoor art fair. Your display and tent must be able to withstand crowds and weather. It is recommended that your professional quality tent is weighed down with at least 50 lbs per corner.
 
Artists are responsible for collection and reporting of all taxes, including 6% Michigan sales tax.
 
The Anton Art Center does not carry insurance to cover theft, loss, or damage to your work or personal property, or against personal injury to you or your helpers. You are advised to obtain your own insurance.
 
Set up is on Friday, June 2nd. Setup may begin at 9:00 am; artists MUST be checked in no later than 10:00 am.

Artists will be notified of jury results the week of April 1, 2017. ZAPP purchases must be completed by April 15, 2017.
