Event Summary
In its 28th year, the Edwards Place Fine Art Fair offers up a park-like setting for a dedicated following to shop the wares of artists from across the country and around the region. On the campus of the Springfield Art Association, the fair includes up to 100 artist's booths, interactive art activities for all ages, a children's area, live and DJ music, food vendors, tours of Edwards Place historic house museum, and a used book sale. 

General Information
The Edwards Place Fine Art Fair invites artists who work in broad range of Fine Art and Craft media to apply. The media categories are 2D (painting in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, pastel, printmaking, collage, calligraphy, mixed media, and paper arts); Ceramic (functional, sculptural, hand built, thrown); Fiber (wearable, decorative), Glass (blown, fused, slumped, sand cast); Jewelry (precious metal, gems, beaded, other); Photography (film, digital, alternative); Other (book arts, basketry, metal, leather, wood, other). First Place and Honorable Mention awards are given in each media category plus Best of Show and Best Newcomer. The Springfield Art Association provides a complimentary artist breakfast both mornings, two tickets to the Artist Dinner Saturday night (additional ticket may be purchased for $15 each) and overnight security both Friday and Saturday nights. Booth sitters are also provided throughout the fair, however they are not allowed to sell for the artists. 

Rules/Regulations
Edwards Place Fine Art Fair staff will visit all displays at intervals throughout the Festival to ensure that exhibitors comply with all Festival rules. It is our exclusive right and responsibility to remove work that is not in compliance. Repeated noncompliance could result in expulsion and ineligibility for participation in future Festivals.
 
  • Artists must be 18 years or older.
  • Primary artists must be present for the duration of the fair. IDs will be checked during registration.
  • Artwork must be original with a majority portion designed and executed by the artist.
  • Artists may only exhibit work in the category in which they are accepted. 
  • Artists may jury in more than one category.
  • Artists wishing to exhibit work produced in more than one media category must create a new profile for each category on Zapplication and submit a jury fee for each category. Artists whose work is selected in multiple categories must still exhibt in one booth space. 
  • Kits, commercially manufactured jewelry, commercial molds or commercially cast products are not eligible.
  • Artists are asked not to drive on the lawns of the grounds at any time. Artists may un/load on the perimeter streets.
  • Artists' vehicles must be removed from the perimeter streets during the fair to allow public access. Artist parking is provided. 
  • Applications will be judged by a three member jury. Jurors change every year.
  • Upon acceptance to the fair, a written contract will be mailed to each artist. 
  • Contracts with booth payments are due upon receipt.
  • Booth preferences will be awarded based upon contract/booth fee receipt date.
  • Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting all taxes. The Peddler's liscence is included in the booth fee. 


Booth Information
  • A booth is for one artist or may be shared by artists who collaborate. 
  • Artists must furnish their own tents, displays, and equipment.
  • Booths and displays must not block public walkways.
  • Electricity is NOT available for artists' booths. Limited water is available on a first request basis. 
  • Generators are not permitted.
  • Registration and booth set-up begins on Friday at 3pm. NO EARLY BIRDS. Organizers will be on-site until 7pm. Artists may set-up after 7pm on Friday and before 7 am on Saturday; a booth map will be posted for late arrivals on Friday. Artist registration resumes at 7 am on Saturday morning.
  • Booth preferences will be awarded based upon contract/booth fee receipt date.
  • This is an outdoor event and artists needing or wanting insurance will be responsible for proprer insurance and protection of work and setup. The Edwards Place Fine Art Fair will not be responsible for damage to work or setup due to weather or unrelated incidents.
  • Local Peddler's License is included in booth fees. 
  • Single Booth (11' x 12') $250, End/Corner Booth (11' x 12') $300, Double Booth (22' x 12') $400
