Event Summary
The 23RD annual Bodega Seafood Art & Wine is a unique, high-quality event combining the best of the arts and fine craft, entertainment, food, wines and micro-brewed beers. Held on a bucholic ranch in the heart of coastal Northern California wine country, this festival draws an abundance of out-of-towners and a loyal following of locals. Attendance is 9-10,000 and they are an intelligent, art-loving crowd.

~ An Expansive Wine & Micro-brewed Beer Tasting plus a Wine and Microbrew Store

WHERE WE ARE:

Bodega is a tiny village 1 mile inland from coast Hwy 1 in western Sonoma County, California. We are 1.5 hours north of San Francisco. This is the locale for the famous Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds". In fact the schoolhouse from the film is within sight of the festival grounds.

This festival is produced by two artists, who have had over 30 years experience as both festival organizers and artists on the festival circuit.

-A small amount of vendors. We let in a maximum of 100 artists/craftspeople, and we often do not have that many, as we jury the show well.
-No imports or mass production.
-We feed you breakfast, have water all day, and have an evening meal for $5.
-Set up can be done beginning Friday afternoon.
~You can drive to your booth.
-You can camp on site.


 

General Information
TO APPLY:
Submit 4 images of your work and 1 of your display.
Please make sure your images are of good quality. Our jury consists of 5 artists/craftspeople, and we have only your photos to make our decisions.

We have 2 deadlines:
FIRST Deadline: April 15th, 2017
Notification: May 1, 2017
PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 15th OR YOU WILL PAY THE SECOND DEADLINE FEES!
Once this deadline has passed we jury applicants and then re-open the application process for the second deadline. Applications will re-open by April 25. PLEASE CHECK WITH US BEFORE APPLYING IN THE SECOND DEADLINE PERIOD. CURRENTLY JEWELRY, PHOTOGRAPHY AND 2-DIMENSIONAL CATEGORIES ARE FULL.

Notification is June 1st, 2017
PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY JUNE 15th OR YOU WILL PAY A $50 LATE FEE!

Set-up Dates and Times:
Friday, August 25th 3-7pm
Saturday, August 26th 6:30-9:30am

ARTIST AMENITIES:
~Coffee, muffins, fruit and yogurt in the morning
~Water all day
~Easy drive-to-your-site set up and breakdown
~A quiet, no-customer zone for relaxing
~Free parking and camping
~Friday set-up
~$5 Full Dinner on Sat Night

A portion of the proceeds go to the nonprofit organization working with the California State Parks in this region (Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods), as well the Bodega Volunteer Fire Department.

Rules/Regulations
All work must be made by the applying artist, either produced solo, or in small production. NO imports, mass manufactured goods, etc.
Reps are acceptable if selling work which is made by the applying artist.
Prints are acceptable.
Small production cosmetics/soaps, etc.are acceptable.
Small production food product is acceptable.

*OUTSIDE BOOTH:
This is a standard 10x10 or 10x20 in the open field of the festival grounds. There is no power, and it is advisable to bring your canopy as there are few fully shady spots. This is a rural ranch, level but uneven in places. 

*INSIDE PAVILION TENT ($100 more):
The Pavilion Tent is the entrance/exit for the festival, so everyone gets excellent exposure. It is a heavy-walled, 3-sided tent which includes electricity. Although it is generally a lovely time of year, we are near the coast so can experience wind and fog.
