Event Summary
The Austin ArtWorks Festival is a free two-day event in Austin, Minnesota held annually each August.

Organized by the Austin Area Commission for the Arts (a local 501(c)3 nonprofit), the ArtWorks Festival is designed to offer a broad selection of experiences in the arts--visual, performing, literary, culinary, and more--in one celebratory weekend. We also strive to make our festival interactive by including family activities and demonstrations (e.g. glassblowing, wheel throwing, and metalwork). The festival is a staple of summer entertainment in the area, receiving rave reviews by local publications and visitors.

The 2018 ArtWorks Festival will occur in the heart of downtown Austin on August 25  & 26. Our galleries will be open from 9am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.

Visit www.austinareaarts.org for more information about the ArtWorks Festival and the Austin Area Commission for the Arts.

We are artist-friendly; please do not hesitate to call or email us directly with questions you may have.

Not a resume or an autobiography, the artist statement is a story. Your Artist Statement reveals what moves you, what sustains and drives you. It might describes how you learned your medium; how your art fits into your life. It might describes the materials, techniques, and creative processes you use to produce your work and may include any details, materials, and processes that are unusual or not easily determined.

The Artist Statement is available to the jury committee.

Jury Fee
A completed application must be accompanied with a $35 non-refundable jury fee. Jury fees are payable online through ZAPP® or by check or money order made payable to the AACA.

Note: ZAPP® does not store your credit/debit card information and all card transactions are processed through a secure server.

Payments made by check (payable to AACA) may be mailed to:
AACA, 300 N. Main St, Austin, MN 55912
