Event Summary

Welcome to our third ‘Love The Park’ Fine Arts Fair in pristine Palos Park. We attracted over 50 Artist in our second year and looking to increase the Artist alliance for 2018. For over one hundred years, the Village of Palos Park has been a haven for the fine arts. The natural beauty and simple rhythm of life in Palos Park appeals to artists and writers seeking inspiration and solitude for their work.

Palos Park is considered by many, past and present, as an artists’ colony where the creative can be surrounded in peace and natural beauty. Painters Claude Buck, Emile Grumieaux, Felix Russmann, renowned sculptor Lorado Taft, and writers Sherwood Anderson and a young Ernest Hemingway enjoyed the serene landscape here.

'Love The Park' Fine Arts Fair is located on the Village Green, our community gathering place, set with a Forest vista of the Park. Our 1939 Historical Recreation Center and portico add to the atmosphere of the entire event. We hope you join us.

Jury Details:
Jury to take place Thursday, April 5 and completed no later than April 12.
All Artists are juried by a panel combined of artists, educators and curators. Everyone has an equal opportunity of being accepted.

Exhibitors must unload and move vehicle before setting up

The Village of Palos Park Police Departments will dedicate staff to the event for overnight and day security
Your work will be displayed on the website with connection to your store, website or Facebook page
Postcards for artists to distribute to your contacts. 25 will be sent with an electronical option from the event website

Jury and Award Judging:
Our panel of jurors credentials can be seen on the event webpage. www.palospark.org
Artists are judged the first day of the show with distribution of ribbons before opening on the second day

All winners are posted on the event website with photo of artist
Best in Show Ribbons awarded in the following categories
Paintings (Acrylic, Oil, Pastels, Watercolor) - Winner's Art might be used within the 2019 event logo with credit
Leather/Wood /Fiber
Mixed Media/Printmaking/ Pen & Ink
Best in Show Public Choice
Your website submitted on the application will be used on ‘Love The Park’ Fine Arts Fair webpage and in the event program  
The sales tax rate in Palos Park is 9.50%

Submission of this application indicates your acceptance of our Hold Harmless Agreement within.


All works must be original. No reproductions or commercial products
Each Artists must be present and staff their booth. Only two people per booth
Late setup and early shut downs are not allowed.
Booth space is 10x10
Only white tents are allowed 
All tents must be properly weighted
Booth number and location will be announced one week prior to the fair via email. These are subject to change due to fair needs
All Artists agree to exhibit and sell their work for the entire hours of the event
This is an outdoor event. NO RAIN DATE
All work must be in line with juried images
Only booths juried for jewelry can have jewelry in their booths

$50 Administrative Fee applied to cancellations prior May 1, 2018. NO REFUNDS AFTER MAY 1

Artisits must unload and move vehicle before setting up, vehicles are not allowed to drive on the Village Green, a gravel path bordering the Village Green will be used for loading and unloading.
