Harvest Moon Festival of the Arts was a Huge Success Last Year and 2018 would be even Better!
We doubled the growth of our festival between 2016 and 2017 and planned to increase both artists and buyers in 2018. 

The Historic Granbury Merchant's Association (granburysquare.com) provides full support and commitment to this 40-year-old popular arts festival showcasing fine and contemporary, American-made craft artisan works. The Granbury Arts Alliance is also a major sponsor.

We are looking for 90 plus artists with unique and diverse works to partner with us in this celebration of the arts in our vibrant, historic downtown square! Our friendly and beautiful square is a favored destination especially in the fall season, we draw large crowds from around the state and the DFW metroplex. Last year's participating artists were overwhelmed with the quality of our hospitality and how well we marketed this event to bring in art buyers!

Our festival is ARTIST-FOCUSED, and there will be ample pre-event marketing & promotion in national, state, and local media. Crowd-pleasing attractions will include acoustical musicians, delicious food,  and interactive arts area geared towards the younger artists.

40th Annual Harvest Moon-Festival of t Arts

Check-In Friday, October 19, 2018, 9 am. Times will vary 
Friday, October 19, 2018, 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. VIP EVENT
Saturday, October 20, 2018,  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 21, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All artists must submit four photos of the items that will be sold, booth shots are encouraged, but not required.

A $500.00 Best of Show will be awarded by the Granbury Arts Alliance, and the HGMA will award $250 to the 3 top ranked artists and jury bypass($25.00value) to the three ranked artists who wish to participate in the Harvest Moon Festival of the Arts 2019.  A group of arts professionals will jury these awards on site during the festival.

Artist Amenities include:
In addition to being a festival for artists run by artists, and their supporters we are happy to offer participating artists the opportunity to load in during daylight hours again this year!!! 

 A VIP EVENT will be held Friday evening, 5 np.m. to 7 p.m.to showcase artists work. 

-Hospitality area with refreshments and bathroom facilities
-Volunteer help with load in and take down
-Shuttle service to nearby vendor parking area
-Volunteer booth sitters as needed for breaks during the fair
-Security guard to supplement in overnight surveillance
-Special rates for artists at a nearby bed and breakfast accommodations
-Enthusiastic promotion by the Visit Granbury, the Historic Granbury Merchant's Association and the Granbury Arts Alliance

Jury and selection:

Each artist is scored by jury members on a scale of yes-no-maybe.  The top scorers in each category will receive an invitation to the show.  An additional number of artists will be retained for a wait list of alternates.   


All artwork must be original, handmade work and the artisan must be present at the event.  Mass-produced or commercial products will not be accepted.  Crafts made from commercial kits, ceramics made using molds as a base, wood-working and sewing from commercial patterns, are not appropriate for this show.  We are looking for unique, hand produced work!

Artists marketing reproduction prints of original work must have prints clearly labeled as such and should not comprise more than 50% of your exhibition.

All works submitted will be considered for the jury process based on merit.  Images sumitted must be representative of all work to be shown at the Harvest Moon Festival.  The festival directors reserve the right to reject works that do not meet the professional standards listed.

Booth Fees are not refundable.   Booth placement will be arranged by the festival committee and will be issued after the jury selection process.

State of Texas sales tax: All artists are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax collected.

Artists who break down displays or depart before closing time on any given day of the festival will not be allowed to return the following day or to future shows unless approved by festival director prior to departure.

Booth Information
Booth Sizes and Pricing:

10 X 20       $250.00
20 X 10       $300.00    corner areas  first come first served (some 2018 corners already spoken for)

There are no other fees or commissions.  Electricity is provided in the booth fee, but is limited.
Staking of tents is not permissible and leg weights with a minimum of 50 lbs. per leg are required. It can be windy in our area.

Tents, tables and chairs are the artist responsibility (not provided and rentals not available).

Set up times:  Friday, October 20 beginning at 4:00 p.m.  We are working on an earlier time frame if possible.

Vendor parking is located two blocks North of  the Square (parking pass provided) with shuttle service
