Event Summary
The June Jubilee is a great way to kick off summer with an annual celebration of Fine Visual Arts and Handcrafted goods in the center of Downtown Colorado Springs.  This popular outdoor artisan marketplace features the works of more than 100 juried artists with a vast array of media including paintings, sculptures, glasswork, photography, ceramics, and woodwork, a huge selection of handcrafted goods, as well as some great live music, and community fun.  This family friendly free event is the place to be for both locals and visitors in the heart of Colorado‚Äôs 2nd biggest city.  In addition to the art, the festival offers food, entertainment, art demos, and a very popular splash fountain.

General Information
You are invited to be part of the June Jubilee. This well attended art festival will take place on June 15th and 16th in Acacia Park.  The most popular and centrally located park in Downtown Colorado Springs.  This unique event offers both professional and emerging artists the opportunity to participate in a popular free event that draws large crowds of enthusiastic art buyers and has great live music.
    Colorado Springs is a “Gateway to the Rockies” and this premier art event is held during the height of the tourist season. Thousands of tourists from all over the world come to Colorado Springs to have the Colorado mountain experience of great outdoor recreation, culture and natural beauty. With its prime location in the center of Downtown, extensive marketing campaign, and free admission, this premier event attracts a very large number of attendees along with a high number of sophisticated and affluent art buyers.


Jury Information:
We invite all artists, both Colorado and national, to apply to the 2018 festival.   Approximately 100 booth spaces will be available   The participants in this show will be chosen by a jury. The jurors will view the five images a product description and artist statement. We strives to maintain a well-rounded show with quality workmanship through its anonymous jurying process.  The objective to select artwork that is unique, representative of a broad range of media, and that demonstrates creativity and originality in concept, design, and execution. Every category and style of work is balanced intentionally for a fair amount of competition between artists and the overall variety and appeal of the festival to customers. Artists may apply in more than one category, but must submit separate applications and jury fees for each medium.  The jury is composed of Colorado artists representing various media.  The number of exhibitors in each category and selection of exhibitors shall be determined by the jury.  Once the show is full we will keep have a wait list on a category basis.
Colorado Events produces multiple shows throughout the year, therefore we have an ongoing jury process that meets twice monthly and juries by category. We recommend that you apply early as the show and/or most categories will fill quickly. Upon receiving an invitation to participate in the show, you will need to submit a vendor booth fee in a timely manner to secure your space in the show. Simply accepting the invitation on ZAPP will not secure your space in the show. The Zapp site will be updated when categories and/or the show closes; at which time “wait list” applications will then be accepted.

Required Images: 5  (a booth shot is recommended) 
If a booth shot is not available, a grouping of work is acceptable. All images are juried anonymously so please be sure your name or business name does not appear in the image or image title.
Applicants must submit five color digital images that represent your work, via the ZAPP application.  If possible you should use one of the five images to show your both display.

Event Marketing and Advertising:  
Advertising and publicity are top priorities, to ensure a successful show.   To attract quality buyers, our marketing plan includes: color ads in the local newspapers, direct mail, ads in several local magazines, email blasts directly to past attendees, and a vast amount of sponsored ads on social media and targeted websites.  We also utilize flyers, posters, banners, rack cards, signs, and several online event calendars.


Company Description and Mission Statement
   Colorado Events is a local nonprofit organization that has been producing high quality events since 2002.   Colorado's premier event planning organization, connecting artists & crafters with the community at a series of Art Festivals, Outdoor Markets, Street Fairs, Holiday Craft Shows, and Special Events in some of Colorado’s most prominent downtown and tourist locations.  Our mission is to organize community events that increase public knowledge and appreciation for visual arts, fine crafts, and supporting local merchants, by creating opportunities that connect artists and local businesses, with the community for their mutual benefit. 
     We produce approximately 50 free public event dates a year in Downtown Boulder, Colorado Springs, Crested Butte, Denver, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Grand Lake, Longmont, & Manitou Springs.      Colorado Events creates a platform for visual arts and handmade crafts in Colorado.  These events create a viable way for the participating artists and crafts people to grow their  businesses, generate income, and build their brand coupled with our affordable vendor fees creates an outstanding opportunity to the participating artists.  Our events feature a vast array of independent designers that are both emerging and experienced artisans.  We also offer a very affordable annual pass option.

Rules/Regulations
1. All work exhibited must be created and produced by the artist.
2. Only original artwork, crafts and reproductions of your work may be displayed or offered for sale.
3.  Work which is imported, mass produced or manufactured will not be accepted.
4.  Overnight security will be provided but, Colorado Events will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen merchandise.
5. Booth sharing is permitted, but both artists need to meet the jury selection process.  For shared booths, both artists must be juried individually. Each applicant will be notified individually.
6.  Exhibitors agree to remain set up for the entire duration of the festival.
7.  Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting all taxes.  We will provide easy to follow instructions on how to do so, after you have been accepted into the show.
8.  Exhibitors are responsible for setting up their booths and also for cleaning up their exhibitor space at the end of each day. Please leave the area around your booth space clear of all trash including cigarette butts. 
9.  When possible, exhibitors are encouraged to demonstrate their art or craft.
10.     All booths must be weighted.  Absolutely no staking allowed.
11.   Tents, weights, tie downs, tables, displays, fixtures, extension cords and any other items necessary for the booth and display are to be provided by the exhibitor.   Colorado Events does rent a limited number of canopy tents.
12.   Handwritten signs and sale signs are prohibited.
13.  Electricity is available on a limited basis for an additional fee of $15 per day.  One electricity fee is sufficient for double booths.
14.  The show will happen “Rain or Shine”.  Colorado has great sunny weather throughout this time of year, but be prepared for any weather situation.
15.  Artists will be notified via email of their acceptance and all future correspondence.

Booth spaces are 10' wide by 10' deep. A limited number of Corner booth locations and Double booths (10’ x 20’) are also available.  Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing.

Artists retain all proceeds from their sales and no commission is asked from the artist.
Exhibitors that have been invited to exhibit by the jury may purchase their booth products on Zapplication by credit card or you also have the option to pay via check,   If you are paying by check please be aware that you must still completed a full transaction through the ZAPP system and select that you are paying by check at checkout.  After that is complete you will make the check payable to "Colorado Events" and send it to:

Medium Categories – (No forms of mass production are permitted)

Artisan Crafter: Agricultural products, gourmet foods, bakeries, bottled beverages (nonalcoholic), bath/body, health/wellness, flowers and garden, candles, soaps, aromatics, children's clothing and toys, pet items.  Please note: all edible items for sale must be prepackaged for consumption.
 
Ceramics, decorative: All original clay and porcelain work other than jewelry is accepted in this category.

Ceramics, functional: All original clay and porcelain work other than jewelry is accepted in this category.

Computer generated/digital art: This category includes any original work for which the original image, or the manipulation of other source material, was executed by the artist using a computer.

Drawing/Pastels: Works created using dry media including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax crayon, etc. or from the fluid medium of inks and washes applied by pen or brush are to be entered in this category.

Fiber, Wearable: All work crafted from fibers including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leather work, tapestry, and paper making.  Manufactured clothing with unique applied art will be considered.

Fiber, Woven/Non-Woven: All work crafted from fibers including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leather work, tapestry, and paper making.

Glass: Only hand-crafted glass work will be accepted.

Graphics/printmaking: Original works made with pen, pencil, charcoal or traditional printmaking. Prints hand pulled by artists from traditional methods, including etching, engraving, silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, linoleum block or woodcut, produced in signed and numbered limited editions from an original image created by the artist.

Jewelry: All jewelry whether the work is produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials must be entered in this category.   Only artists accepted in the jewelry category may display and sell jewelry.

Metalwork: Includes all non-sculptural, non-jewelry works crafted from metals.

Mixed media: This category includes works, both 2 and 3 dimensional that incorporate more than one type of physical material to produce. Includes non-sculptural work as determined by the artist.

Painting, oil or acrylic: Works created in oils and acrylics are in this category. Creation of a still life, portrait, landscape, abstract or other image on a flat surface, such as canvas, with oil and/or acrylic paint or sticks.

Painting, watercolor: Works created in watercolor are in this category. Creation of a still life, portrait, landscape, abstract or other image on a flat surface with watercolors.

Photography: Photographic prints made from the artist's original image, which have been processed by that artist, or under his/her direct supervision, are included in this category.

Sculpture: Three-dimensional original work done in any medium.

Wood: Original works in wood that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved are accepted in the wood category.
