2019 marks the 48th anniversary of this rite of spring in one of Louisville's most beautiful and historic neighborhoods.

The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is a juried fair with more than 200 artists’ booths. The two-day event is free and open to the public. The Art Fair is held in Louisville’s historic Cherokee Triangle neighborhood on tree-lined Cherokee Parkway between Willow Avenue and Cherokee Road. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming as they celebrate spring with old and new friends alike. The Art Fair began in 1972 and has been one of the area's favorite events ever since.

In addition to art, patrons of the fair can enjoy food, drink, and entertainment. Other attractions include a plant booth with a lush variety of plants and herbs, the Cherokee Triangle Association booth with offerings of items with the Cherokee Triangle logo, and the popular Children’s Art Tent for hands-on activities.

The annual Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is the major fundraiser for Louisville’s Cherokee Triangle Association (CTA), and proceeds are returned to the community and neighborhood. The CTA uses proceeds from the fair to fund summer concerts in Willow Park and to make donations to the Highlands/Shelby Park branch of the Louisville Free Public Library, Highlands Community Ministries, and the Olmsted Parks Conservancy.

One $500.00 cash prize will be awarded to the artist judged Best in Show.  Two $300.00 cash prizes will be awarded for Honorable Mention.

Best in Show award winner is exempt from the jury process for the following year.

GUIDELINES: All items must be hand-crafted by the exhibitor.  Items made using pre-formed molds, kits, or items made by others will not be accepted.  If these types of objects are available for sale in a booth, the artist will either be asked to remove them or will be asked to leave the show and forfeit their booth fee. 

Artists are expected to remain for the entire show unless extreme inclement weather forces closoure by the Art Fair Committee.  There will be no refund of the fee if this should happen. 
All mediums must be juried.  If an artist hopes to include more than one medium in a booth, an example of each must be submitted with their application.
HOW TO APPLY: Submit no more than three photographs of the art. A booth image IS required.

Please list any special booth requests in the Artist Message. Double booth requests will be considered but there is a very small amount available, as we are a small show. 
Artists’ names must not appear on the photos. 
All applicants will be reviewed by the Artist Committee and blind-juried by a separate panel. 

Approximately 220 exhibitors will be accepted.
Notification will take place on or about March 1, 2019.

Previous participation does not guarantee acceptance.

All applications must be submitted by the January 15th deadline. The deadline cannot be extended and exceptions cannot be made.

Wthdrawals, Emergencies, Weather Conditions 
Artists who withdraw from the Art Fair on or before March 31, 2019 will receive a full refund of their booth fee.  After March 31, 2019, refunds are not given.

If an artist chooses to leave prior to the end of the Art Fair and without notice, they will not be asked to return in future years. Emergency departures will be taken on a case-by-case basis. The Art Fair is an outdoor event and is held rain or shine. Artists are expected to remain for the entire show unless severe or dangerous weather forces closure by the Art Fair Committee.  There will be no refund of the booth fee in the event of emergency closure.

Booth Information
Booth spaces are 10' x 10'.

Fee is $300.

Setup day is always the Friday of show weekend.

Overnight security is provided.

Electricity is not available.
