New for Artists & Administrators:

– Password Reset Required
We’ve enhanced our security! To ensure all passwords meet our new security requirements, all users— whether an artist, administrator, or juror— will be prompted to reset their password once upon logging in.

These new password requirements are:
– a minimum of 7 characters
– 1 capital letter
– 1 lowercase letter
– 1 numeral

Artists will see:

– Required Artist Information for “Contact Event” Messages
When an artist finds an event on zapplication.org and clicks “CONTACT EVENT” on the top right, they can send an email directly to the show administrators.

Now the email will contain more useful information such as the artist’s reply-to phone number and email address.

– Event Information Title Changes & Social Media Additions
For the administrator side, we’ve made several changes to the wording and field placement in the Event Information tab of the Event Editor. There are now two fields for admins to input their Facebook and Twitter pages; the front-end will display social media icons that take users to those pages (when added).

Artist Side:

Email Reminder to Log In Before Account is Auto-disabled
If an artist has not logged into their account for 24 months, the account is auto-disabled. Now, artists will receive a warning email one month prior to their account being disabled.

The warning email will include the date on which the account will be disabled, as well as a prompt to log in if they wish to keep that account active.

The warning email will look like this:

Administrator Side:

– Processing Fee Product Designation
Within the Product Editor, “Processing Fee” was previously a product type choice, though this choice was designed for a specific and rarely used type of event setup. When used, the processing fee type would not function as most administrators intended, so this option has now been removed for all but applicable events.

– Onsite Adjudicators Assigned to Multiple Categories
ZAPP® Onsite now allows for easier set-up with clients whose on-site jurors score only select medium categories. Previously, the process for assigning booths in these scenarios was time-consuming.

– JuryBuddy Images Named with Application ID
JuryBuddy images now contain the artist’s application ID number. This ensures that images can be more easily identifiable.

– View Slideshow Function Now Displays All Statuses
The administrator slideshow was not properly displaying all statuses. This has been fixed.
