Event Summary
The Oconomowoc Festival of The Arts takes place on the beautiful shores of Fowler Lake in the charming Fowler Park in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. This show is considered one of the best outdoor juried art fairs in the Midwest. Held annually since 1970, the Festival always takes place the third full weekend of August and features the jury selected work of 135 artists from across the country.

The Festival is organized and operated by community volunteers who are dedicated to making this a rewarding experience for both the artists and attendees.

The Silent Auction features works of art donated by OFOA exhibiting artists and is greatly appreciated by the Festival. We provide additional information to direct patrons to the artist booth for purchase of additional work.

Oconomowoc Patrons of the Arts offer artists housing in their homes. Please apply for the opportunity for one of these spots by going to our web site, www.oconomowocarts.org to apply for one of the limited spots available.  Housing application deadline is June 30.

General Information
Join us in August 2017 for the 47th annual Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts. It is considered one of the top outdoor fine art festivals in the Midwest. It is held on the beautiful shores of Fowler Lake at Fowler Park in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. This volunteer-run Festival works hard to make this a rewarding event for both the artists and attendees. You are invited to apply to the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts to fill one of the 135 valued booth spaces.

The Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts is held the third full weekend in August from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The 2017 registration fee is $40.00 and the booth fee is $250.00 ($500.00 if you chose to purchase one of the limited number of double booths available -- they will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis once invitations are released).

The show features 135 artists from all over the United States, in Ceramics (Functional or Decorative), Drawing/Pastels, Fiber/Leather, Glass, Graphics/Printmaking, Jewelry, 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Painting (watercolor, oil or acrylic), Photography, Sculpture/Metal and Wood. 

The Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts will present $2700 in awards. Award winners are automatically invited back the following year without jurying.

A new jury committee selects the entries each year. To be juried, each artist must submit 5 images, including 1 image of the booth and 4 images of the art. No identification of your name or personal photo may be in your booth shot or on your entry images. Please take all identifying booth signs or signatures out of your images for the jury process.

The Festival judges reserve the right to refuse exhibition of work that is not consistent with submitted images.

All sites are on the grass with some space behind the booth.  

Artists can only apply in one category. Artists who apply in the wrong category will be eliminated from jury.

We offer housing for artists on a limited availability. After accepting your invitation to the Festival, please apply for housing via the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts website.  Housing is available for Friday and Saturday night only.  June 30 is the deadline for applying for housing.

Artists' parking is off site from the festival grounds. Shuttle vans are available for easy access to the Festival. All festival information will be in your artist's packet and given out at the Registration on the Friday of the festival weekend.

We do not have assistance for set up available to the artists. You must be fully able to set up your booth on your own.

There is no refund after payment is received for those who withdraw from the Festival after accepting the invitation to participate & paying for a spot in the Festival.

Artist Load-In and Set-Up starts at 5pm Friday and again at 6am Saturday.

The Festival also includes live entertainment on three stages, a silent auction and several food vendors. We do appreciate and encourage Festival artists to contribute to the Silent Auction.

This is a 100% volunteer run show.

Rules/Regulations
Please read all rules & requirements set by OFOA to assure compliance with the Festival.

Only work representative of your submitted images may be exhibited in your booth. Images must
represent CURRENT work and be in direct proportion to work shown.

Work submitted for jury must not show artist signature visible to the juror or it will be eliminated.  No artist name or other identification may be visible in the booth shot submitted for jury.

All exhibiting artists and their collaborators must present a valid and current ID at registration.
Display may not extend beyond booth space or obstruct traffic flow for the safety of the patrons.  

All booths are on grass and there are no electrical outlets provided.

Booth fees must be paid upon accepting invitation into Festival.

Booth Information
Single Booth Price -- $250.00

Double Booth Price -- $500.00 (Double booth spots are limited and available on a first-come-first serve basis once invitations have been extended to accepted artists.  We usually have about 6 double booth spots to offer.)

All booth areas are on grass and no electrical hookups are allowed or offered.

You are responsible for the durability of your tent in all weather conditions.

All tent spaces are marked to indicate your area for each booth number.

There may be space behind the booth for containers.
