Event Summary

The very first Art & Chalk Festival, a juried arts and crafts exhibition and retail sale sponsored by and held at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend on July 29 – 30, 2017, will open with an Artist Reception on July 28. The event will feature sixty juried art and craft vendors and a Chalk Art exhibition.

The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) explores the art and culture of Wisconsin. Founded in 1961, MOWA is one of the top museums of regional art in the United States, with almost 5,000 works of contemporary and historic art by more than 350 artists. Through rotating exhibitions and educational programs, MOWA provides an innovative forum for the culturally engaged.

General Information
This outdoor festival takes place on the campus of the Museum of Wisconsin Art and will include several food vendors and music. It is walking distance to many restaurants and the historic downtown West Bend. 

Two Best of Show awards will be awarded for Artist Booths at the Art & Chalk Festival. Best of Show winners for artist booths receive a spot, at no cost, in next year’s festival. Awards are presented the last day of the festival.

10' x 10' standard space
  • Artists must furnish or rent their own display equipment, including booth walls (preferably white); Booth space fee does not include electrical service.
  • Artists can share booths ONLY if application was submitted and accepted that way.
  • Artists must be present in their booth during show hours.
  • Artists must leave a clean space when they depart on Sunday or they will be subject to a fine.
  • Refund Deadline July 10, 2017, less a $60 admininstrative fee

Refund Deadline July 10, 2017, less a $60 admininstrative fee. AFTER THAT DATE, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. JURY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
