2017 Celebrate Wildwood Art Festival: An outdoor event taking place on August 25 & 26, 2017 (set-up on Friday, August 25, 2017 before 5:00p.m.). A quaint setting in Wildwood Town Center at 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040. Festival hours Friday are 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The 2017 Celebrate Wildwood Art Festival is beginning its fourth (4th) season! Organizers learned valuable organizational lessons over the last three (3) years and are anxious to begin the 2017 Art Festival arrangements. Last years participants were ask to submitt comments and suggestions to improve future events and those that responded, once again, provided excellent improvement recommendations. As a result the 2017 Celebrate Wildwood Event will be slightly different than 2016! The artists are always the number one priorty of organizers and 2017 will be no exception! We know the month of August presents many heat related concerns and, because of that, the 2017 event will be organized differently. Friday evening the artists will be the focus! No other events will be going on! the evening will be artists booths, quiet music, and a wine garden environment. Organizers are hoping that all attending will be present to browse the artists booths!! Saturday will be similar to past years, but the organization/layout of the days activities will be slightly different. Artist booths will be open until 10:00 p.m. Saturday evening hopefully attracting people coming for the concert or the amenities of the food court and wine garden. Artists can breakdown their booths Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Organizers are hoping those artists that have been loyal to the Celebrate Wildwood Art Festival will brave one more year in August!! Plans are already being discussed to move the Celebrate Wildwood Art Festival to a differnt month in 2018.
20176 Celebrate Wildwood Art Festival: Rules and Information Friday and Saturday/August 25 & 26, 2017: ELIGIBILITY: Artists must be at least 18 years old. Original artwork created and presented by the exhibitor ONLY. NO kits, imports, mass produced items. No more that 20% of booth space may consist of reproductions. Misrepresentation of work will result in removal from Festival and forfeiture of booth fee. No ‘buy/sell’ vendors allowed. Collaborative work must have all artists’ names/signatures on the application. IMAGES: Submit four (4) .jpg format images electronically. Include three (3) different samples of your artwork and one (1) of your booth. JURY & AWARDS: Entries will be e-juried on a point system by a panel of qualified professionals. Judging for awards will take place on the field beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Artists will be judged on the full scope of their artwork, not individual pieces. DISPLAY TENTS: Exhibit spaces accommodate a 10’ X 10’ tent. City tent regulations require Fire Resistant label and/or certificate. Booth displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing. Handwritten signs of any type are prohibited. A card, listing your name, category and City will be supplied by Festival Committee and must be displayed. Exhibiting artists must be on site at booth during Festival, not sales agents or business representatives. Ribbons & Awards from other shows may NOT be displayed. No generators, open flames, animals, or loud music. Booths will be checked for compliance. SET-UP: Friday, August 25th, before 5:00 p.m. Check in before setting up. A photo ID of accepted artist must be presented at check in. All vehicles must be off the Art Festival Exhibit Area after set-up is complete and by 9:00 a.m. Saturday. BREAKDOWN: After 10:00 p.m. Saturday, only when security designates it’s safe. NO EARLY BREAKDOWNS. The Art Festival Exhibit Area must be cleared by 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. SECURITY: Provided Friday and Saturday nights by police. Exhibitors may leave their displays up overnight; however, the City of Wildwood is not liable for any damage or loss. EXHIBITOR PARKING: Free of charge in designated areas. Sleeping in vehicles overnight is prohibited. All vehicles must depart exhibitor parking by 7:00 p.m. Sunday. COMMITMENT/CANCELLATIONS: Accepted application is a commitment to exhibit. After notification of acceptance, no refunds will be given for cancellations. Credit may be issued at the discretion of the Celebrate Wildwood Committee, if your space is resold. TAXES: Exhibitor is responsible for collecting and reporting Missouri (MO) sales tax on Festival sales. PUBLICITY: Notification of acceptance and receipt of images grants permission to use images for publicity. HOTEL INFORMATION: A block of 15 rooms have been set aside at the Wildwood Hotel for August 25 and 26, 2016, for the Celebrate Wildwood Event. This reservation is being held until July 28, 2017. Booth cost/pricing is $125.00 ($100.00 for the booth space and $25.00 Jury Fee).
Booth setup will be Friday, August 25, 2017, before 5:00 p.m..
Vehicles should clear from booth area by 5:00 p.m.
Vehilcles should be clear of booth area by 9:00 a.m. on Satuday.
