Event Summary

28th Annual Golden Fine Arts Festival | Saturday & Sunday, August 18-19, 2018

Golden Fine Arts Festival, now in its 28th year, invites artists nationwide to apply!

A Golden icon for nearly three decades, Golden Fine Arts Festival is a prestigious juried art show located in the heart of historic downtown Golden, Colorado.

With its prime location just 20 minutes West of Metro Denver and free admission to the public, this premier event draws over 35,000 visitors over 2 days to enjoy art, live performances, craft beer, food vendors, and children’s activities.

The established art fair will be limited to 134 artists selected through a competitive jury process. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in nine categories, as well as Best of Show and Best of Colorado honors.
 
Produced by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, Golden Fine Arts Festival is a favorite of those who value an attentive and welcoming environment for artists and patrons alike.

APPLICATIONS:
Artists interested in showing work in more than one category may submit up to three (3) different applications. Please note that only work in the categories in which the artist is accepted may be exhibited at the event. Images submitted with the application may not contain any artist identifying information, such as personal or company names, descriptions, or statements.

RAIN OR SHINE
Though we hope for lovely weather… Golden Fine Arts Festival takes place rain or snow! Colorado weather can be unpredictable; please prepare for various weather conditions.



Rules/Regulations
  • Best of Show, Best of Colorado, and 1st Place winners for 2018 will have the 2019 application fee waived.
  • Participating artists agree to comply with all Golden Fine Arts Festival guidelines and all local, state and federal rules
  • Participating artists must be present to personally represent their work for the duration of the festival. Representatives may not attend in place of the artist.
  • Exhibited art must be original, handcrafted work; no more than 50% can be reproductions. Prints and reproductions must be labeled as such.
  • Commercial, mass-produced, or manufactured work, imports, and resale items are not allowed.
  • Collaborators, or individuals who participate in the creative process should be listed as co-creators or second artists on booth signs and other collateral.
  • Participating artists are responsible for paying sales tax to the State of Colorado and the City of Golden.
  • Golden Fine Arts Festival and the Golden Chamber of Commerce reserve all rights
 
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations request must be made in writing. For a full refund, the cancellations must be received by July 19, 2018. Cancellations received after July 20, 2018 will receive no refund of the booth fee. The $30 application fee is nonrefundable.


Booth Information

Booth Fee: $450
Early Bird Booth Fee (For applications submitted before February 1, 2018): $395
  • Limited double-booth space ($850 fee) is available upon request; first come, first served
  • Exhibit space is subject to availability and pre-assigned at Golden Fine Arts Festival’s discretion
  • Participating artists must provide or rent their own 10’x10’ canopy tent and booth displays
  • Tents must be fire-safe and weighed down by at least 40lbs per leg of the booth; tents with sides are highly recommended to protect art from the elements
  • Leveling devices may be necessary and are recommended
  • Colorado weather is unpredictable; artists should plan for rain, high winds, and bright sunshine
  • Electricity and water hookups are not available
  • Artist set-up and break-down must be completed within the designated time frame provided, in accordance with safety official and authority rules and regulations
  • Artists are required to maintain a presentable space – all displays, chairs, and storage must be contained within the booth; all trash, including cardboard, is the responsibility of the artist
  • Artists are not allowed to keep pets at their booths at any time during the festival.
  • Artists are responsible for securing all valuables, including all art. Booth displays should not be left in place overnight. While security patrols are in place, Golden Fine Arts Festival and its organizers will not be responsible for theft, loss or damage to property or personal injury.

 
VIEW LEGAL AGREEMENT
