Event Summary


The 20th Annual Easton Art Affair is one of Ohio’s premier Fine Art/Fine Craft shows. 
The show is held on the streets of the “Entertainment Forum” of Columbus, Easton Town Center, which is visited by over 28,000 patrons per weekend. Our location, marketing and advertising are aimed specifically to customers eager to purchase fine art and unique works of art and craft. In 2016 Easton Art Affair was ranked #52 in sales of fine art, #85 for sales of fine craft of the United States by Art Fair Source Book. Please refer to Art Fair Source Book for all current ratings. "The quality of work is held to a high standard at the Easton Art Affair, only original work is permitted and a show representative is on hand to do booth inspections to ensure the quality of work and the artisit's display meets the show's guidelines."  is what the October 2017 Sunshine Artist Fast Audit has to report. The exhibitors, customers and location make this show a success year after year!

General Information
Huff-Burch Promotions, developer and organizer of Easton Art Affair, has 42 years of experience in the Art show industry. Now in it’s 19th year, Easton Art Affair is our only show we produce, so extensive attention is given to all details, ensuring the exhibitor experiences a very hassle free and financially successful show! ELIGIBILITY
We seek to maintain the highest standards for both artist and the viewing public. Participation is open to artists in all Fine Art and Fine Craft medias.

Exhibitor must provide the jury with 4 photos that are representative of their work. The photos must not have a name on them for the jury is confidential and done with numbers only. A photo of the booth is mandatory for jury, and must show the entire booth, photoshop imagery of your booth will not be acceptable.

Artists wishing to exhibit work produced in more than one category must submit an application, images and application fee for each category. Only one booth fee is paid. Jewelry, for example, cannot be exhibited with another medium without being accepted thru the jury process in the jewelry category.

To enter, simply complete the application at www.Zapplication.org, there will be a $25 non-refundable application fee.

Zapp system by credit card or with a check made payable to Huff-Burch Promotions. due to the expense of Pay Pal, a check to Huff-Burch is preferred.

A Wait List will be formed for those categories that are full, you will be notified of a cancellation and will have the option to accept our invitation at that time.

Refund policy: no refunds of booth fees will be given after May 1,, cancellation must be made in writing or email.


MEDIA CATEGORIES

Ceramics: Original clay and porcelain work excluding jewelry. If multiple pieces of the same design are displayed, the artist must sign each piece.

Digital Art: Original work for which the original image, or the manipulation of other source material was executed by the artist using a computer. Traditional photographs taken through a camera should apply as photography.

Drawing and Pastels: Original work created using dry media including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax, crayon, etc. or from the fluid medium of inks and washes applied by pen or brush.

Fiber: All work crafted from fibers, including basketry, embroidery, weaving, tapestry and papermaking.

Glass: All handmade glass items.

Jewelry: All jewelry produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials must be entered in this category. No commercial casts, molds or production studio worked is allowed.

Metalwork: Includes all non-sculptural, non-jewelry works crafted from metals.

Mixed Media: This category includes works, both 2D and 3D, which incorporate more than one type of physical material to produce. This includes non-sculptural work only.

Painting: Works created in oils, acrylics, watercolor, etc. are in this category.

Photography: The camera is the primary source of the imagery and ends with a 2-dimensional print. Photographers are required to disclose their creative and printing processes.

Printmaking & Graphics: Printed works for which the artist hand-manipulated the plates, stones, or screens.

Sculpture: Three-dimensional original work created in any medium.

Wearable Art: Handmade hats, belts, clothing of any kind apply in this category

Wood: Original works in wood that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.

Other: Should be used for mediums that do not fit into the above categories. Artists in this category must provide a detailed description of their process and materials.



ADVERTISING
The show is heavily promoted through newspaper features, paid radio and newspapers advertising, website listings, email blasts and thousands of postcards are sent to previous and potential buyers. Free postcards and handouts are available, please order at time of application if you able to use them. They will be available May 15th.

OTHER INFORMATION

Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing. All tents MUST be white and all racks MUST be covered. Handwritten signs and sale signs are strictly prohibited. The goal is to make your tent look like a “Mini” art gallery.

Individuals selling work that is not their own, or otherwise misrepresenting their product of themselves are not welcome and are requested to refrain from applying.

Electric is available to most location, it must be ordered with your application, Electric may need to be limited to 300 watts in some areas, we are sorry for any convenience this may cause, however it may be unavoidable to provide power to the entire show. You must provide breaker bar if multiple plugs are needed. Please limit the use of fans, when your lights are on. Electric is not guaranteed at all locations, battery lighting is permitted, no generators.

There is on-primise security daily. Columbus city Police on site Friday and Saturday night after show hours, and state of the art surveillance cameras 24 hours; however, artists leave artwork at their own risk.

Artists are responsible for proper insurance and protection of work and setup. Easton Town Center, Huff-Burch Promotions will not be responsible for damage to work or setup due to weather or unrelated incidents.

All reproductions must be clearly and individually labeled.

Booth Information
SET-UP:INFORMATION
SET-UP TIMES:    Thursday, June 20 ..9:00 pm – 12:00 am (Check-in, 8 pm – 9:30pm)  *
Friday, June 21…….9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Check-in, 9 am – 12 pm)

9:00pm set up time will be met only if all cars are off the show area, some may be able to start set up earlier if streets are clear. Townsfairway will be barricaded for our set up at 9:00.
  • Oversized vehicles (14’+) wishing to drive into show area must set-up Thursday at 9:00pm or be prepared to hand dolly during set-up hours on Friday.
  • some areas of the show may be permitted to start set up earlier that 9pm, however this is according to the street clearing and Easton Management
  • All exhibitors may set-up at this time; however, oversized vehicles will be given preference for booth side parking.
Set-Up Procedures:

            Exact booth assignments will be given at the check-in location
  •  Check in will be in front of Barnes and Nobles located at 4005 Townsfairway Col, O. 43219. This will be your Mapquest Address to use.
  •  Please park your vehicle on the street or in the Barnes and Nobles parking lot and walk into the show area to receive your booth location, welcome package and booth signage.
  •  Please let yourself in/out of the barricaded areas and ALWAYS REPLACE THE BARRICADES.
  •  DO NOT set-up your booth until your vehicle is moved out of show area.
  •  For safety reasons, once you are done setting-up, please close the sides of your booth to discourage shoppers while other exhibitors are still setting-up.  Selling begins at 4pm.
  •  All vehicles must be off the show area by 3:00pm.
  • Booth Guidelines:
  •  Professional booth signs will be provided.  Please mount these on the right front post of your booth (facing the booth) using the zip ties provided. These signs will be collected at the close of the show for reuse.
  •  All Exhibitors must have white professional tents with sides and adequate weights.  You may be asked to leave if your booth is not up to show standards in appearance or safety.
  •  NO staking or nailing into pavement to secure tent – weights ONLY.
  •  ALL TENTS MUST BE WEIGHTED with weights suspended from the tent and secured to the tents legs, no elastic straps of any kind can be used to secure weight down (rope only)
  •  Booths may have front exposure only or a corner with a 4 ft to 6 ft aisle, please plan your booth accordingly.
  • All display items must be confined to within your space. Very limited product may be neatly stored behind booth.
  •  Pets, bikes, scooters and gas-powered generators are not permitted in show area.
