Event Summary
Be a part of the 20th Arts on the Green (AOG), a juried Fine Arts and Crafts Festival, which benefits the Arts Association of Oldham County (AAOC).  With 8-10,000 visitors, AOG is known for high quality art. This premier event is located on the picturesque Oldham County Courthouse Square, 100 W. Main St, .La Grange, Ky. just northeast of Louisville, Ky.
We take tremendous pride in our festival with showcasing quality, creative artists, great food and music. It attracts 8- 10,000 visitors. Show hours are 10-5 Sat. June 1 and 10- 4 Sun. June 2, 2019.  We want AOG to be successful for you and the arts association.  The number of artist’s booth is limited to 125 so that each artist has potential for good traffic. AOG offers award prizes totaling $2000, discount booth coupons, Friday set-up, golf carts for loading and unloading as available, breakfast Sat. and Sun., booth sitters and our best Kentucky hospitality. It is marketed on bookmarks, posters, ads, radio, television, social media, website, banners and signs. We encourage artists to share our event information with your friends and family.

AAOC values your expertise in helping us meet our mission of ” bringing the arts” to Oldham County. We are all "in" and hope that you are too!

General Information
This is a juried event and only artists displaying their own original work are eligible. Exhibitors must be present throughout both days of the show.  Artists leaving early will not be invited back without the approval of director.   Artists categories are Photography, Ceramics, Painting/Drawing, Sculpture, Fiber, Jewelry/Metal Smithing, Glass, Wood, Consumables: candles, lotions, soaps, food and Craft Art.
Craft Arts Category means any medium to include but not limited to writing instruments, furniture in all media-wood/metal/plastic/etc., mosaics.  The is no Mixed-Media Category.
Artists awards are $500 for Best of Show, and $150 for 1st Place each category. Ribbons are awarded for 2nd and 3rd places.  Best of Show winner will be invited to be the Featured Artist at the AOG 2020.  As the featured artist, the art is displayed in promotions, website, media and venues.  This is a huge perk for the winner and AAOC. We believe the Best of Show's art work,  displays the quality and creativity that exemplifies what the AAOC represents.

Check In and Set up is Friday, May 31, 2019 from 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday set up June 1, 2019 by 9 am.  A photo I.D. is required at check in. 
Set up time varies according to booth site. Further details available when booth sites are assigned.

If you are a prior AOG artist, send me an email if you are requesting your previous year booth space.  We will try to comply if possible.  Waitlist is applied as needed. Artists may share a booth and send one check for the booth fee. Each artist must jury in to the show.            

The emphasis of the show is on original arts & crafts. 2-D artists working with prints must label all prints as such and numbered edition prints only are acceptable. Prints can comprise up to 50% of the total display except art in the Print Category. Giclee is accepted in painting category with some restrictions. No commercially made products, ceramics made from molds, kit objects, glass from patterns or mass produced items may be exhibited. All work must be labeled with a price, or “not for sale.” The committee reserves the right to reject any work, display or exhibitor which in its opinion does not conform to the artist’s work as represented by the submitted application.
Early breakdown must be approved by the Director.  Be alert to inclement weather.  Stay in touch with AOG office for early closure. 
There is "No Pet Policy" for the safety of our artists, customers and volunteers.   Signs are posted on the grounds for customers as "No Pets".

Booth Information
This is an outdoor show.  You must provide your own display and tent covering. A white tent is required.  Weights and/or lawn anchors are required.  Strong winds are a hazard for you and your neighbors. Be prepared for weather. Your booth must be as secure as possible.   Booth space is 10' X 10' - 10' X 12'.
Fees are as follows:  Jury is $25 (non-refundable), Electric is $ 20 and Booth Fee is $200.  Booth and electric fee is refundable on case by case basis.  No booth fee is refundable 1 month prior to show. Discount coupons are available for Early Bird Application (Submitted by 12/31/2018)  and/or AAOC Members (Submitted by 3/31/2019). AAOC members, please verify current members status prior to application.  Artist who is submitting as Early Bird and is an AAOC member, receives both discounts.  Email Mary Klausing, for coupon codes prior to Booth payment. Discounts apply to booth fee. 
Even returning artists must jury in. Pictures must accurately represent the work to be exhibited for each category and a booth shot.   Booth display is important, recommendations are available for first time exhibitors of a show. 
Artists may exhibit in more than one medium.  You must jury in each, pay the jury fee, and be accepted in each category.  All art work exhibited must be reflective of the art juried in the show.  Exhibitors are encourgaged to include a  brief explanation of their work including any special, unusual techniques and/or aspects of your work.  Pictures and information may be used in publicity of the event. Demonstrator are allowed with approval.
Artists may share a booth space. Each artist must jury in the show. 
Set up times:  Friday, June 1 from 10am - 7 pm or Sat. June 2 before 9 am.  Booth set up times will be staggered on Friday.  You will be notified of your time for set up and booth location. Artists on Second Street set up time is after 1 pm.   Please email the director if you are not able to set up during times posted if other arrangements need to be arranged.   Breakdown is June 2nd after 4 pm. The show is advertised through 4 pm on Sunday, artists breakding down earlier without permission of the director, may not be invited back the following year.
