Event Summary

West Coast Artists and WCA Arts Foundation will host Artists Expo - La Quinta, in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Civic Center Campus on November 2 - 3, 2019.

This event will feature artists from across the United States displaying their original work in all medium of fine art and fine craft. This event will feature 100 artists showing traditional, contemporary works.

Acceptable categories include paintings, mixed media, sculpture in bronze, clay, glass, paper, metal, stone, and wood, photography, digital, fiber, furntiure, basketry, jewelry, ceramics, blown glass and other (does not fit into other categories). We will be accepting food trucks, as well.

General Information

Open to all medium of original fine art and fine craft. All work will be juried. Categories will be limited. No commercial, imported, manufactured, or purchased for resale work will be accepted. No representatives.

Artists must be present during the event.

Artists may only display the work in the category in which they have been accepted.

Artists  accepting participation grants West Coast Artists permission to use images of their work for advertising purposes to  promote the event.

Participants must provide their own display ( canopies must be white). Each participant is responsible for the safety and liabilitiy of their own display and merchandise. West Coast Artists and the City of La Quinta assume no responsibility for loss or damage to merchandise, display, canopies, or participants.

Jury fee is $25.00. Booth fee is $225.00 for 12' X 12' space, or $400.00 for a 12' X 24' space. or $550.00 for a 12' X 36' space.

There is a mandatory 10% commission due on all sales made at and generated from the event. Commission is due at the close of the event on Sunday from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. If you are not agreeable to paying the 10% commission, please reconsider and do not apply.

Rules/Regulations

Sales Tax:

Vendors must have a valid California Sellers Permit (State Sales Tax License/Resale Permit). Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting any and all sales tax, 9.00%.

Business License:

Each vendors must obtain a City of La Quinta Business License prior to the event.

Refund Policy:

Accepted exhibitors at the Artists Expo may withdraw from the event 30 days prior to the event date and receive a credit toward another event. If withdrawal is made within 30 days of the event date, no refunds are available as all funds are committed to the production, promotion, and marketing of the Festival. All refund requests must be made in writing. We will not process your payments until you are accepted to the event.

Displays are to remain set-up until 5:00 pm on Saturday and 4:00 pm Sunday with no exception.

West Coast Artists reserves the right to cancel the event in the case of extreme circumstances or inclement weather. Participants must be prepared for moderate winds or possible rain. Canopies must be securely staked with rebar. The event is on grass.

Hours of the event are from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Sunday.

Tear down is from 4:00 pm  - 9:00 pm on Sunday.

Rules, Regulations and General Information for Participation.

The Artists Expo is strictly a Juried Show and will only exhibit fine art and fine craft. The majority of the work displayed must be original pieces. Prints presented must be limited edition only and must represent a minority of the work displayed, with a majority being original pieces.

Terms of Exhibition:

I have read and agree to all of the specified terms and conditions set forth in the Artists Expo Application. As a participant, I further release and indemnify West Coast Artists, the City of La Quinta and all of its duly appointed representatives of liability and responsibility for any damage, injury, or loss sustained by exhibitors, guests or other participants before, during, and after the Festival or as a result of the display of my work, equipment, or materials. I understand that the Festival management reserves the right to remove anything that does not meet the standards set forth in this application. I understand that there are no refunds or rain checks due to inclement weather. I agree to accept all decisions of the Festival management. I agree to allow the Festival management use of enclosed slides, photos, and other promotional materials, including photographs and videotapes taken at each Festival for the purposes of promotion of the Festival this year and future years. The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, West Coast Artists, the City of La Quinta, its clients and affiliated organizations or entities, directors, officers, agents, employees, or any of the above from any and all liabilities, demands, claims, damages, or costs to property or persons as a result of participating in the 2019 Festival.
