Event Summary
All artists who create wearable art comprised of textiles or based on textile construction techniques are invited to apply to exhibit and sell their work at the annual Wearable Art Market, a juried event sponsored by the Textile Art Alliance of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
The market will be held indoors at Eton Chagrin Boulevard, an upscale, boutique-oriented shopping and dining destination in the heart of Cleveland's prosperous east-side suburbs where plenty of parking, easy accessibility and no entry fee combine to ensure great attendance by shoppers.
On Sunday, October 13, from 10 am to 5:00 pm, we'll fill the corridors of the center's Boutique Mall with space for up to 50 artists. Many of the shops and restaurants will be open, adding to the synergy.

The Wearable Art Market is an offshoot of the former Annual Wearable Art Fashion Show, Boutique and Luncheon, hosted from 2004 to 2016 by the Textile Art Alliance of the Cleveland Museum of Art, an extremely popular event that routinely attracted over 800 attendees.

The market is promoted heavily through direct mail, traditional and social media.

General Information
Hand-crafted clothing and accessories including ensembles, coats, dresses, jackets, vests, tops, skirts, pants, hats, hair accessories, scarves, bags, jewelry, shawls, gloves and other imaginative wearables are all welcome.
All exhibitors are encouraged to register a model with our model committee to stroll among the shoppers and diners, adding to the excitement! Don't have a model? Just let us know when you purchase your space and the committee will enlist a TAA member volunteer to help you strut your stuff. All models must be registered with the committee.

We will fill the Boutique Mall area of the Eton Chagrin Boulevard complex. Setup will commence at 8 a.m. The space is easily accessible (no steps!). Eton Chagrin personnel will provide security.
Exhibitors keep all proceeds – no profit sharing!

Your application will be reviewed by a jury comprised of Textile Art Alliance members, who will score applications based on your images and past participation in our events. Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be issued by August 16. Upon acceptance, you will be given instructions for accepting the invitation and reserving your space and optional rental equipment. You will have until September 1 to pay space and rental fees.

  1. All fees are non-refundable.
  2. Artists may not exhibit/sell, and will be asked to remove, items not representative of the submitted images especially but not limited to significant deviations in quality, price range, and wearability.
  3. Applicants understand the Wearable Art Market committee reserves the right to use their submitted images in publicizing the market.
  4. Artists are responsible for handling their own sales and sales tax obligations.
  5. Artists are responsible for setup and tear-down of their displays.  Tear-down must not begin before 5 p.m.
  6. All displays are expected to be professional, with tables covered appropriately. Tables, chairs and table coverings will be available for rent when purchasing space.
