Event Summary

Perkins Rowe and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge will again partner to bring you the 9th Annual Arts Festival. The festival will take place on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3 at Perkins Rowe.

The arts market featuring local, regional, and national artists exhibiting their fine arts, from ceramics to canvases, jewelry and more!

Rules/Regulations
Regulations and Responsibilities · All work must be original and produced by the artist.
· Each space is 10’ x 10’.
· Artist Vendors MUST have a white tent.
· No flammable material or open flame may be used on property. Alterations or additions to property are not allowed.
· No sound equipment, amplifiers, megaphones, alarms, sirens, bells, flashing lights, or any equipment causing excessive noise are permitted.
· Signs, banners, balloons or other material may not be attached, nailed, taped, or fixed in any manner to Perkins Rowe’s property, including trees and landscaping.
· Smoking is strictly prohibited.
· Storage is confined to under table skirting only. No cardboard boxes or other storage materials may be visible to the public. · Artist Vendors are required to remain open to the public for the duration of the event each day.
· The Arts Council is authorized to promote the Community Partner utilizing the name, likeness, photographs, videos and audio reproductions of the activity, excerpts of which may be used by the Arts Council for the sole purpose of promoting the Arts Council, its activities and the Greater Baton Rouge area.
· Any artist or vendor perceived as exhibiting rude behavior and/or creating a hostile environment will be required to pack up and leave the festival site and will forfeit their eligibility for future participation.

Set Up Procedures · Saturday, November 2 – Set up may begin as early as 7:00am on Saturday. Vehicle access will be prohibited after 9:15am. Tents with weights are recommended, as the street can be very windy. The use of tent sides to guard against inclement weather and to protect items overnight is also highly recommended. · Setting up while unloading is not permitted. The Artist Vendor must pull into assigned booth space; unload items/supplies onto the sidewalk quickly, park offsite, then return to set up the booth. · Sunday, November 3 – Festival staff will be onsite at 10:00am. Artist Vendor must arrive no later that 11:15am to open booth.
 
Security Security is provided by Perkins Rowe overnight on Saturday and throughout the event. The Artist Vendor is required to secure the tent with closeable panels. It is recommended that small items, such as jewelry, be packed up and transported offsite for the night, and returned the next day. We need to make a note that security is not liable for any goods. While we do have security 24/7, they are not responsible for the artists possessions and will be doing normal walk throughs of the property.
 
Take Down Procedure The Artist Vendor must begin packing up their tent and items at 6:00pm on Sunday. All items, tent, and tables must be packed before driving the vehicle onsite to load.

Booth Information
Artists must provide original art/craft items for sale
 
Parking Artist Vendors with trailers can park for free in the valet parking area, behind Fresh Market. Those without trailers may park in the large garage between LA Fitness and Cinemark. Please park on the upper levels of the garage to accommodate customers on the lower levels.
 
Bathrooms Bathrooms are located in The Green, (the park adjacent to Sur La Table and Anthropologie, or Barnes and Noble.)

Payment and Refund Policy Artist Vendors must complete this application and pay the $10.00 submission fee by Saturday, August 31, 2019. If you are selected, you must pay the $125 booth fee by Wednesday, October 16, 2019 to be included in the festival. *Credits/refunds will only be issued if the festival is officially canceled.
 
 Weather Policy Festival cancellation will be considered only in the event of an official severe weather warning or a 100% chance of heavy rain for the entire duration of the festival. Cancellations are at the sole discretion of Perkins Rowe and the Arts Council Of Greater Baton Rouge. Partial refunds or credits will be granted to Artist Vendors in the event of a cancellation due to weather.

Images As part of this application, you must submit quality images of your work for marketing and promotional materials. Up to 5 images may be submitted. Images should be JPGs of high quality, but not to exceed 100 dpi.
Each image must be labeled in the following format: LastName_FirstName_Title_number

Deadline - Completed application and submission fee due by Saturday, August 31, 2019
