Thunderbird Artists proudly presents the 16th Annual Arizona Fine Art EXPO, a 10-week event, nestled in the most affluent, upscale area of Scottsdale & Carefree (located 5 miles south of Carefree and 5 miles north of Loop 101.) The EXPO is the perfect platform for artists to create and sell their work.

The EXPO has been a pinnacle of creativity for the last 15 years. Home to 115 artists' studios, a cafe, artists marketplace and 2-acre sculpture garden, every year patrons anticipate the arrival of award-winning EXPO artists. Located in the heart of the Sonoran desert, there is something for everyone. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the creative process as it happens.

The Arizona Fine Art EXPO will receive an extensive advertising campaign, including television, magazines, newspapers, online calendars, press releases, radio, websites, direct mail postcards and more.

General Information
The marketing/space fee ($2500) includes a variety of opportunities for ten weeks such as; rented working space, backdrop gallery presentation, display panels provided for hanging artwork and/or area for pedestals, art sales, receipts of your own patron sales, paid staff assistance, extensive advertising campaign, artist’s own site within www.arizonafineartexpo.com, patron interaction, camaraderie with fellow artists, on site free veteran art classes, student classes & workshops, garden parties, gala, weekend entertainment, etc.


Eligibility, Rules & Regulations

*All work must be original, handcrafted, created and exhibited by the artist. No open-ended edition prints permitted. Limited edition prints must not exceed 350 per print series. 75% of displayed work must be original art. Kits, imports and mass produced items are prohibited. No clothing, hobby or bazaar type articles.

*All categories must be juried prior to exhibition. Any media NOT accepted through the jury process shall be removed. Separate images and jury fees are required for acceptance of more than one medium.

*If two or more persons collaborate to produce original work, each person must be identified on the application.

*A $25 fee will be charged for all bank returned checks, cancellations and foreign funds.

*No state tax license required; all sales go through Expo office.

*Exhibitor’s display at the event must represent photo submitted at time of application. Misrepresentation of artwork will result in expulsion from the event without refund.

*Handwritten signs and sale signs are prohibited. No soliciting political or religious materials or imposing views on customers or fellow artists.

*Exhibitors may not solicit or approach patrons outside of their studio.

*Exhibitors must park in designated artist parking area.

*Absolutely no pets on EXPO grounds. Artists staying in overnight areas must clean up after pets or will be asked to leave.

*All space assignments are final decisions of Arizona Fine Art EXPO. EXPO reserves the right to change or modify space locations as they may deem necessary.

*All rules will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply with rules or unruly behavior (including intoxication or verbal abuse) by the exhibitor or their assistants will require immediate expulsion from the show and will eliminate exhibitor from future events. Arizona Fine Art EXPO and Thunderbird Artists reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules.

*Recommended attire is business casual. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Booth Information
$2500 (single booth) + 20% commission.  (Payment schedule available.)
12' wide X 8' high panels provided.
Floor space is approximately 150 square feet.

There are a limited number of outdoor working cabanas available ($500) for welding, clay & raku firing, patina finishing, glass fusing, stone carving, etc. Also available: an artist marketplace for smaller items, plus a 2 acre sculpture garden for medium, life-sized and monumental sculptures.

EXPO will furnish to the Artist basic facilities to include a tented studio structure with general lighting, electrical to the studios, restrooms, carpeting, sales personnel, security for non-show hours, and black painted Artist display panels.  Artist may decorate his/her designated studio as desired; however, any proposed alterations of the supplied Artist panels must be approved by EXPO prior to changes.  Artist shall furnish all of their own display materials, lights and fixtures necessary for the proper and professional ambiance of their studio.
