Event Summary
Paso Robles Art in the Park is  presented twice a year in April and October.  The event showcases 135 fine artists and craft designers in the beautiful downtown Paso Robles City Park.   The show is produced by Steve Powers who has been directing art shows in California since 1975.  Mr. Powers is also the art show director of the Morro Bay Art in the Park events that are in their  64th annual year.  The Paso Robles Art in the Park show is now in its 2nd year and has quickly become the largest and finest art show in San Luis Obispo County.  Paso Robles is a major tourist hub for the large wine industry that includes over 250 wineries in the region.  Over 250,000 people reside in San Luis Obispo County.  Paso Robles Art in the Park is visited by over 6000 people during it's two day show.   

General Information
Paso Robles California is located in San Luis Obispo County. It is 200 miles south of San Francisco on Hwy 101 and 200 miles north of Los Angeles.  The weather in April and October is normally 75 degrees during the day.  The chance of rain is less than 10%

 



Rules/Regulations


ACCEPTED ART:  All items must be hand crafted by the artist.  Resale or wholesale items (buy/sell) are not permitted and will result in immediate dismissal without refund.  No manufactured, imported items or raw materials will be allowed.  Accepted categories include jewelry, pottery, glass, painting/drawing, photography, textile/leather, metal, wood, digital media and mixed media.  Artists may only show and sell work from the category in which they have been accepted. Artwork and booth photos must be current and representative of display and art offered for sale. Festival organizers reserve the right to ask the artist to remove items not representative of art submitted for jury process/acceptance

Artist benefits include:
  • $20,000 in paid advertising.  45 television commercials on the Local NBC Station. Full page ad in Paso Robles Magazine. Full page ad in San Luis Obispo County New Times Newspaper.  Two Freeway Billboards located at main entrance to Paso Robles on Spring Street offramp on Freeway 101.  
  • Close to booth location loading zones that surround the entire east side of the Park.
  • Limited to 135 Fine Artists & Craft Designers
  • Over 100 corner booths at no extra charge.
  • Great festival layout / traffic flow

  • Artist parking two blocks to the South of the Park
  • Veteran promoter and staff onsite at all times during the Art Show.

  • The largest Fine Art show in the Region.  Attendance consists of upper income residents of San Luis Obispo County and Tourists visiting the Paso Wine Country.

WAIT LIST:  Those artists not accepted (because of limited booth space) will be placed on a waitlist and will be notified as space becomes available.  Payment will be required prior to set up.


DATES, TIMES & LOCATION:  Saturday – Sunday ,October 19-20  2019.   10:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday  10:00-4:00 Sunday.   Paso Robles Downtown City Park,  Paso Robles Ca. 93446.  Show is located on the East side of the Park with Pine Street on the East,  12th Street on the North and 11th Street on the South borders of the Park. 

ARTIST:  The artist must arrive on time and stay for the duration of the festival.  Artists may not open their booth late or close early.  No agents, dealers, or representative may attend in place of the artist.  Only one artist may display in a booth unless the work produced is a collaboration of two artists.

PARKING: Artist parking (trailers, motor homes and vehicles) is available two blocks South of the Downtown City Park on Public streets.   All vehicles must be removed from the festival site 1 hour prior to the start of the festival. 

SECURITY:  Management provides after hour security for the festival with the understanding that Steve Powers & Company Inc. the City of Paso Robles or the festival director/staff will not assume any liability for lost, stolen or damaged items.

Booth Information  $299 10x10  $399 20x10  no extra charge for corner booths. 
We do book on a first come first serve basis until the show is full.

IMPORTANT 2019 DATES:
  • Final Application deadline  September 19, 2019  (Art show could be full before deadline)
  • Applications juried twice monthly          Juried on the 1st and 15th day of July, Aug. & Sept. 
  • Application fee $5 due with application
  • Booth Deposit of $100 is due after invitation to confirm your participation in event. 
  • 

Balance of $199 for a 10x10 or $299 for a 20x10 will be due August 19, 2019.


  • After acceptance into Paso Robles Art in the Park and your payment of the $100 deposit, there is no refund for the deposit if you cancel the event. 
  
BOOTH:  Booth size is either 10 X 10 or 10 X 20.  Booths are located on grass.  Staking is permitted.   Artists must furnish their own white canopy,  display tables, skirting, & chairs.  All displays must be designed and constructed to be aesthetically pleasing, and all sales and promotional activities must be confined to artist’s assigned space.  Portable generators are not permitted.
 
SET UP:  Friday October 18 from 8am until 6pm. Saturday Oct. 19 from 7am-9am   No exhibitor parking is allowed in the Downtown City Park Area during the show.  Exhibitors must park at least two blocks to the South of City Park during the event. 
 
TEAR DOWN: Begins at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday October 20.  You must vacate the park by 8pm.
 
APPLICATION PROCESS: 
  • Zapplication:  follow online rules/regulations. 
  • Accepted artists understand and agree that images of their work may be used by the show promoter for the sole purpose of marketing the event. 

FEES:
Non-refundable Jury/application  -  $5.00: must be paid by credit card or PayPal online. 
10 X10 - $299.00
20 x10  - $399.00

You must obtain a City of Paso Robles Business license.  After acceptance into the event you will be sent an application the this license.  The total fee including California state fees is $24 for the Art show.

You must also have a State of California Resale Permit.
