Event Summary
Art Festival at ONE DAYTONA – Brushes Bites, and Blues, in partnership with Gallery500, is a fine art festival featuring juried fine artists and non-juried fine craft artisans at ONE DAYTONA. The art festival is held in concert with ONE DAYTONA’s monthly car show, Cruisin’ ONE DAYTONA and offers an opportunity to experience culture and refinement over the course of two days with high-end fine art, cars, music by a live professional Blues band on the stage in Victory Circle, popular performances by Volusia County high school music ensembles, artist talks at Gallery500, special event menu options from ONE DAYTONA’s local restaurants and bars, and $15,000 in cash awards to attract the best fine artists and a wide audience of savvy collectors and shoppers with a taste for the finer things in life.

ARTIST APPLICATION INFORMATION:
 
  1. Applications Due January 15th
    1. Artists must identify their desired exhibition selection as either juried or non-juried.
    2. One application per category (up to 3 categories may be applied to)
      1. Please set up a separate user ID for each application
      2. If an artist is invited and accepts in two (2) categories, separate adjacent spaces will be assigned, one (1) space for each category. The artist cannot display artwork from two categories in one booth.
    3. Booth Fee payment indicates artist’s confirmation to exhibit in the One Daytona Art Festival.
  2. Five Images Required for Jury Review of Application
    1. FOUR (4) images of recent artwork (created in the last 2 years), in the same medium that the artist is applying.
    2. ONE (1) image of the artist’s Festival display or booth for each category entered.
  3. Artist Signature of Agreement is Required
    1. Artists must agree to follow One Daytona Art Festival policies, rules, and Legal Agreement. As an applicant to the One Daytona Art Festival your name/address/email address will be automatically retained on our mailing list. Please notify us of address changes or if you prefer to be omitted from our listing. We do not share your personal contact information without your approval
  4. FEES
    1. Application fee is non-refundable. !00% of paid booth fee will be refunded if artist does not receive Jury Panel acceptance for show.

WAIT LIST
 
Placement on the Wait List is determined by the jury and is based on point score in a category and then by the date, the completed application is received in ZAPP. Upon a cancellation, all attempts are made to replace medium for medium. In the event that is not possible, vacancies are filled by the highest scores remaining in other categories in order to achieve a balanced show. If you do not wish to remain on the Wait List, please contact us by email at (zapp@wpsaf.org. )
 

Rules/Regulations
 RULES
  1. Exhibit Space: 
    1. Each space will measure 10’ by 12’. The artist’s display, including booth and viewing bins, must be included within this space.
    2. A minimum of 4 pieces must be exhibited
  2. No Buy/ Sell exhibitors are permitted. We appreciate the efforts of all exhibiting artists to help us to identify buy/sell violators. This is a violation of our rules and exhibitors will be told to pack up and leave. No refunds will be made.
  3. Exhibitors must be present during the entire 2-day festival
  4. Exhibitors may not close their booth before 4pm on Sunday
  5. Provided booth cards must be displayed in a visible spot throughout the entire festival.
  6. Exhibitors are responsible for paying the Florida sales tax. Reporting forms will be provided by Florida Department of Revenue at check-in or may be obtained at http://dor.myflorida.com/Pages/forms_index.aspx.
  7. $40 Application Fee is required of all applicants
  8. Artists may only exhibit media from the approved categories
  9. Each artist must enter individually unless the art is collaborative
  10. Artists must leave their spaces clean by 9pm on Sunday
  11. Unacceptable to Show:
    1. Copies of original artwork and works reproduced or copied from works of masters, advertisements, commercial or widely circulated photographs or offset prints
    2. Work purchased from an outside source for resale
    3. Production artwork in any category
    4. Work created by kits, manufactured or kit jewelry, art supplies, commercial signage or displays, decoupage and ceramics cast from commercial molds
    5. Traditional crafts such as soaps, candles, scented oils and homemade food items should not be entered into this event.
    6. Artwork created before August 1, 2014
    7. Artwork not in the category in which the artist applied and was accepted
    8. Unsigned artwork or work not using archival materials
    9. Creation or demonstration of artwork in the Park
    10. Alcohol or sound systems
    11. Pets
    12. Generators
    13. Decoupage, commercial photographs, mass produced jewelry, manufactured bags or belts, non-original or kit work, or other commercially produced products.
    14. nudes and weaponry
    15. The Festival will take place “rain or shine”.
    16. Any breach of the rules/regulations, and policies, forfeits all rights of the artist, and will result in immediate dismissal from the show without a refund. No camping tents allowed


Booth Information
BOOTH INFORMATION
Tents must be professional, 10 x 10 foot with white top canopies and secure side curtains ONLY. The minimum tent weight is 45 lbs. Booth space is 10 ft by 12 ft
 
  1. No camping tents allowedWeights are required: Minimum weight (professional) is 40 lbs. each on all tent legs.
  2. Please ensure that your displays are strong enough to withstand crowds, wind and possible poor weather conditions
    1. Not permitted:  Raw concrete blocks or bricks, water containers, grid only or stabilizer only without weights, dumbbells
    2. Permitted:  Tube weights, sand bag weights, concrete filled buckets, stabilizer bars with sandbags, weight plates.
  3. The booth spaces will be marked by the use of chalk, tape, or flags.  Please refer to festival map for booth layout and numbering.
  4. Booths may be set up starting Friday at 4pm
  5. Exhibitors should be prepared with rain covers, tie-downs, and weights. Each exhibitor is responsible for his/her own display in case of loss or damage. Not all booth locations are totally level so levelling devices for displays may be needed. We cannot provide assistance with booth setup.
  6. Artists may pay an electricity fee for access to booths with electricity. Power is only available to a limited number of booths. No generators will be allowed.
  7. Booth assignments and additional festival information will be sent by email in late December March.  Information will also be posted on our website at [website link].
  8. No changes of booth assignments will be made unless directed by Festival Chairperson or Artist Contact. (Please know that security is not to direct booth changes!) 
  9. The show layout is designed to ensure a balance in the show, with available corners and ‘ends’ locations assigned as based on the artist's total points scored in the jury panel selection process.
  10. One Daytona Art Festival will not provide tents.
